Chez Bacchus is owned and operated by John Hansen, the only advanced sommelier in Long Beach, and you can feel his knowledge in every part of the experience. The staff is sharp, welcoming, and trained at a very high level. Dinner service is my favorite. The food, wine, and timing are always on point. Tea time is a great bonus and something you do not see often in this area.

Wow! Not only is the food some of the best in Long Beach, the wine list is so thoughtful and interesting. Try it for dinner, try the bar specials, try the tea service. Don’t miss out on this one.
I cannot rave enough about this place! The service, cocktails, and food brought us so much joy. The octopus was tender, the scallops perfectly cooked, and the steak was absolute perfection. We’ve experienced everything from hole-in-the-wall gems to Michelin-starred restaurants, so we don’t gush easily, but this place was the exception. We’ve already recommended it to all our friends.
