9 dollars for two pre-made supermarket hardshell tacos with cold chicken, ready as soon as I finished ordering. I was under the impression it would at least come with rice and beans but was told otherwise by the waiter. Pretty outrageous for Long Beach but I guess they prey on all the drunk people at the neighboring bars.

This is a cute little place that has been around for 32 years! We never knew about it until today!
We were so warmly welcomed by the staff, so friendly and so nice! The server got us chips and salsa before even we placed an order. The salsa was so fresh and delicious. When we asked about their vegan options, they said they could customize most of their menu and a lot of things like the rice, beans were already vegan. We ordered a veggie burrito and tofu burrito without the cheese. The burritos were delicious. The veggie burrito reminded me of the authentic food that I had in a small village in Mexico! We loved everything about it, until my last bite gave me a taste of animal fat, which means the food could have been cross-contaminated, so yes beware Vegans and vegetarians.

Vegan options are exactly what you would expect from a non vegan bar. Glad that they could accommodate me but wouldn’t come here for the food
I got the blackened mushroom tacos and they were fire

Great place to get SCMexican
Been here a few times because it’s a convenient location for me, but food is pretty bland and low effort.
Today the guy rung up my burrito up as $9 instead of $6. I casually asked him why it was $9 and he quickly conjured up that it was because I said half/half bacon and sausage when they asked me which meat I wanted and they don’t do that, so I asked if that meant it would have extra meat then and he nodded. Weird, but okay. All good. Still not expecting much at this point. They also tack on a takeout fee even though I was seated at the table ready to eat.
I open up my to-go bag at the table, take a bite and there is virtually NO MEAT. Maybe a few cheap bacon bits visible. Just pale, bland egg in a soft tortilla. The guy looks over at me and without saying anything I hold it up so he can see inside. Guy comes over, grabs the burrito from my hands, tosses it in the trash and counts out $9 cash to refund me. He then pulled it out of the trash and picked through it trying to locate any bits of meat and when he couldn’t, he quickly threw it back in. lol
TLDR; Guy tried to overcharge, made a weak attempt to justify it and then threw a tantrum. Go across the street to The Firkin instead.

Omg! What a delicious Taco! I had the beef tacos and they were amazing, very flavorful, not too spicy and pretty decent sized! Loved this place
Chicken tacos were tasteless. Beans and rice just OK.

Very casual place for quick hot Mexican food. Four or five tables total. Attached to the bar next door. Coco Burrito was large and tasty. Chile Relleno and Enchilada - sauces had good flavor.
