Donuts are delicious and huge. The coffee ☕ is awesome. Prices are very reasonable. A bottle of water is $1. Family own business and they have been there for over 50 years. They also offer sandwich croissants, burgers, breakfast and more. Open 5:00am to 5:00pm. Atmosphere can use some work.

The woman who helped our group was so amazing and kind!! Customer service was a 20/10 and the donuts taste great. Such a hidden gem and a short walk from the nearby offices if you want an excuse to get outside for a bit. Could not recommend more!!!!Kid-friendliness: We were a group of young adults and were helpedWheelchair accessibility: There are no interior stairs and flat tiled area, as well as well kept floors. There was a glass window display that was at eyeline for anyone with ADA needs.

Quick drive-by after we had lunch downtown saw the word bakery and wanted to stop for a second. It was a little afternoon so their cases were kind of empty which is a good sign because that means they got hit earlier in the day. The service was kind and quick The building is a standard donut shop, and I imagine they make a mean breakfast sandwich ! Plain, glazed donut, was almost melted in your mouth soft, I still prefer Randy's, but this was a really good one. Apple fritter was delightful, I love the combination of all the crunchy little bits, and then the crazy soft center . Cheese danish would've been better if it had been heated up, but the pastry had a great flavor and the cheese filling was perfect .

I found a bug smashed beneath my to-go ham and cheese croissant before, so I don't think I can give this that high of a rating. It's good when there aren't any bugs though... do with this information what you will

Colonial Bakery is a hidden gem, one must just look past exterior to within, a delightful array of pastries. The apple fritters are a standout, boasting a perfect balance of sweetness and spice. The hearty cheese danish is a savory delight, and the chocolate-frosted donut holes are irresistibly tasty. The bakery exudes a cozy charm, and the friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere. A must-visit for pastry enthusiasts seeking a satisfying indulgence. And yes, they take cards.Wheelchair accessibility: Two entrances. One door is often open. Wide area throughout to easily get a wheelchair through.

i walked in the cashier lady was very polite. i gotta bacon egg & cheese croissant 10/10. i wish they had avocado to go on the sandwich but overall it was a very good sandwich.
Very delicious breakfast. Busy. Lots of street parking in downtown long Beach near the historic downtown sign. Was driving to the cruise port and stopped by this place bc it looked good just from driving by (window shopping). We were not disappointed on thus local family owned business. The prices are unbeatable for anything in Los angelas. We ordered a huge breakfast bagel for just $7.50 but it could of fed 2 people bc it was ginormous. My son said it was really good and flavourful and we should of bought some donuts.
