I know we have a lot of new fancy breakfast & brunch spots opening in Long Beach but Eggs etc is always the good old reliable!!! So much good food on the menu, I come here specifically for the home fries cause they know how to do it right. Big pancakes, big omelettes, a bang for your buck. Good service too. Why dont they have 4.5 stars?!?!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Solid breakfast option in the LBC. Eggs Etc has become one of our fave breakfast spots for their good food, service, and reasonable prices. It generally doesn't get quite mobbed like coffee cup or breakfast bar and they open earlier than most other spots, if you're the early bird type. The food is typical diner fare, nothing fancy, but as such, they're good at what they do. I've tried several different items and they've all been good. Their home fries are crisp (I didn't even have to ask for then well done), and the banana pancakes are A+. Their patio is very pleasant on a warm day and their service has always been great. What's not to like?

02/17/24 I have driven by here numerous times and always say I'll try this place soon - years have passed and I finally did it. Met with my friend for breakfast and she wanted outside seating. It was a beautiful morning so it was perfect. Got there about 8:30am and there was no one on the patio. I ordered the Baja omelette: Chorizo, onions, sour cream, avocado and cheese. It comes with country potatoes and one side. I got a pancake and it was huge! I loved my meal. It was so good. It had a slight spice to it which I loved because I'm not crazy about too much spice. My friend ordered the eggs Benedict. She is very particular of how the egg should be made. She said it was slightly overcooked but gave it a 8/10. It did give her the runny yolk she was looking for but still slightly overcooked. The two waiters who tended to us were so nice and attentive. I would come back just because of that. 10/10 I will definitely be back.

If you come to eat here be sure to eat inside because the service outside sucks lol . Food was ok ordered a chorizo omelette with spuds but they gave me super spuds and charged me by the time I got my food I was sitting for 40minutes so I wasn't about to complain . Food was ok but nothing worth waiting that long for the pancake was the best part and I'm not a pancake type of guy .

We ordered the Popeye, and the spin/jack. We got the blueberry pancake, the granola pancake, the home fries and the biscuit and gravy. Everything was good, except for the biscuit and gravy. It was bland, there was no flavor. The granola pancake was good but had a strange texture, given that we got to try it and a blueberry pancake, definitely get the non granola, it is more pancake like (light and fluffy).Parking: Tiny parking lot, don't expect to find a spot.Free street parking around just have to search for a spot

I drove by Eggs Etc in Long Beach for years before actually stopping in. It was always packed on weekends, but my true breakfast love had always been Potholder. Still adore Potholder, but I always felt they did better with their wackier options than just the classic breakfast fare. When I finally sat down at Eggs Etc, I was pleasantly surprised to find how good their basics are. I've been a few times now whenever I've had a craving for eggs, potatoes, and a pancake. Their omelettes are always cooked perfectly (my fave is to get the Three Cheese and add in bacon and spinach). Their house potatoes could be a meal on their own - dense, flavorful, crispy, and seasoned beautifully. They have a sign outside advertising their banana pancakes. I am pleased to say they are worth the try. They're simple - nothing fancy or extremely sugary about them - but they have a great ratio of big banana chunks to buttermilk batter. They're exactly what you'd make at home, but just a liiiiittle bigger and better, which is sometimes all I want from a spot like this. Service has been both great and curious. Waiters are usually really thoughtful and polite, constantly checking to see if we need refills. One time, though, we were seated by a manager or possibly an owner who spent the first five minutes telling us what NOT to do at our table (like splitting checks certain ways, ordering certain customizations, changing seats, taking prolonged time before paying)... which was really strange, because we weren't planning on ordering any differently or indicated any changes. Sometimes you just catch folks on a bad day, though. What you see is exactly what you get at Eggs Etc. Don't come in ready to be knocked out by innovation, but if you want that classic breakfast done right, they're the ones to try.
