Been coming to eat here for over 10 years never had a issue until this past Saturday. I placed a phone order to pick up I ordered 8 plates. I arrived to pick the order the girl charged me and give me two bags only, I noticed we had no salsa and tostadas. I asked for some and the cashier gave me bad attitude saying I put some already, I proceeded to the show her the 2 bags at the point she threw some salsa and tostadas with bad attitude. At the point my sister said let's check the order and in front of her we took out the food in front her and to our surprise we were missing 2 plates. We told her and once's again she gave us bad attitude saying I gave you all the food and I told her you gave us 2 bags and we haven't moved from here we took all the food in front you. She wasn't helpful at all. Had to talk to one of the cooks. He was so helpful and professional he kept saying sorry and made our 2 missing plates the waitress/cashier kept arguing telling us that we are slowing her down to leave. I told her if she would have gave us our correct order we would have been home enjoying our food. I will not return to El Burrito Grill as long as she works there. Unfortunately you guys lost over 10 years customer.

While on vacation I found this small restaurant which filled the burrito sized hole in my life. After trying the mouth watering asada tortilla hunk of a meal I knew I would be back. With each round I left satiated and content especially with the more than fair price. Although the building isn’t on par with a 5 star restaurant I believe for a quick meal the combination of helpful service and solid ingredients deserves the highest respect.

The menu offers a great selection of classic Mexican favorites, and each dish I tried delivered: The burritos were stuffed full of fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and wrapped tightly so nothing spilled. The tacos had just the right balance — crisp tortillas, vibrant fillings, and generous layers of salsa. Their rice and beans were more than just sides — they were flavorful, hearty, and complemented the mains really well. Portion sizes are generous — you won’t walk away hungry. Service was prompt and smooth, whether for dine-in or to-go orders. The location is convenient, and it’s a great go-to spot for satisfying, casual Mexican cuisine. So, I stumbled into this little place and can't brag about the food enough! The place itself could use AC and a little attention to cleaning, plus the service, although friendly, was a bit unattentive. But, let's get to the MAIN THANG! The FOOD... was AMAZING! Fresh, authentic, huge portions, and best of all, the taste was FANTASTIC! I had the Chile relleno, beef tamale and a beef taco, along with some of the best beans and rice I've ever had, and I grew up in East L.A! I would bring a friend next time and LOVE every bite!

Food here is consistently good. Not unique, not spectacular, but solid. They offer most southwestern Mexican-style comforts. If you can make it here early enough take advantage of the lunch specials, you'll save quite a bit of money and avoid a hundred unnecessary calories.
During the daylight there is usually one guy working both the register and the tables, so don't expect service to be too snappy. Parking is ample. Most of the time you can find a spot on the street right next to the entrance doors.
This place is the very best spot in Long Beach. ❤️👍 Believe me, I KNOW excellent Mexican food. My long search for a place to eat lunch is OVER. This place is it from now on. The service was fast and friendly too. 👍 The plate was so hot it can burn you. It was so good.
