Came on April 26th at 2:20 the girl working the front should be fired. I got my food and immediately went back and told her I ordered the double chicken tostada salad she yelled at me and rolled her eyes and said you ordered the double chicken avacado salad.. she took back the food and started talking bad about me in Spanish and said this is my fifth time doing this to her manager I immediately said I understand Spanish and this is my first time ever even eating here. Just a college kid looking for a break during finals. She's not someone who should be working there especially while students have finals and their stress load is overboard already.

The 5 dollar combos at this Pollo Loco are singlehandedly keeping me alive. It’s the best bargain I can get on campus, a real bang for your buck kinda deal, ya know. And money is kinda in short supply, so I keep coming back here. Everyday, Monday thru Friday, I eat at this Pollo Loco. Breakfast, Pollo Loco. Lunch, Pollo Loco. Dinner, Pollo Loco. Take a girl on a date. Pollo Loco. I sleep and I dream of Pollo Loco. I don’t even taste it anymore. I can’t even say for sure if I enjoy it, really. I know I should just eat somewhere else, but the 5 dollar bargain just keeps me coming back. I keep myself locked in a grilled, carb-rich prison of my own doing, afraid of what lies beyond the great unknown. It’s at this point that I begin to wonder. Is the Pollo Loco, or am I the one that is Loco?

March 2020 Like many typical college students eating out can get pricey but with my busy work schedule + full time student status it's inevitable that I have to eat out at least 1x while on campus. Lately some staff members seem to have an attitude when ordering my same meal every time i go. Apparently if you would like Sauce (creamy avocado, jalapeño hot sauce) you have to order it with the food vs. at the pick up station. If the salsa bar is out or if the soda machine is turned off then they seem to have an attitude for letting them know.

Food is good and affordable, service is consistently bad. When asking questions, the workers are unhelpful and would rather make you feel d*** for not knowing their menu than actually answer the question.

Terrible customer service too and the chicken they be giving is small as f*** waste of my time walking there for it to be closed like i dont got finals get back to

This spot is worth giving a shot. They serve big portions for fair prices. Consistently well kept and with fantastic ambience. Would recommend to others.
Hmm okay. So you know when you keep giving a place another shot in hopes that it'll get better? Yeah, that's where I'm at. Pros: Fast service Healthy options Order through app to make process even quicker Rewards Cons: There's always at least one thing missing from my order Cleanliness of the salsa bar Taste The customer service provides a good experience most of the time. The staff has been nice, quick, and efficient. But on multiple occasions there's something missing from my order such as the chips or tortillas from my combo or even the contents missing in my taco. The menu and what is included with a combo is basic so I don't know how this is screwed up so often. On a positive note, the quality of food is fair and amount up to other El Pollo locations. They have a good selection of low-calorie meals such as bowls and salads as well as more filling options like burritos and chicken meals. I'll continue to come here and rack up reward points through the app.

While the food is below subpar here at the CSULB campus location, the customer service is worse. Today, I managed to bring food from home for once. As a college student, it helps to save money. However, being in a rush to school, I forgot to pack a fork on my way out. I decided to stop by El Pollo Loco to ask for a fork since it was closest to me. The employee was SO RUDE. She straight up stared me down and said "Forks are for customers only." No "sorry about that" or recommendation as to where I might be able to find one. DUDE. It's one plastic fork. It's not like people are stealing forks from you guys on a day to day basis. El Pollo Loco's employee was so petty, she was really going to let someone miss lunch because of a fork. Never coming back here for anything. Thank you, next.

I got full so fast on the 4pc combo it wasn't even funny. The food is very good but it won't compete with other chicken restaurants like Popeyes or canes

I use the Pollo Loco app to order my meals and it makes having lunch so much easier. RECOMMENDATION: The Double Chicken Avocado Salad combo. Under 500 calories and it does fill you up. If you order using the app you earn points towards a free meal. Overall, the food is fresh and the avocado salsa is delicious but a calorie bomb! Avoid the long lines and order using the app. Ask for your receipt so you can take the survey and take $1 off your next order. It adds up, trust me. Have a great semester!
