Came by on a whim through a recommendation from chatGPT lol. I was craving pasta. I ordered the one that starts with a T and my daughter ordered the one that starts with a P hehe. I can't remember the names! The pasta tasted fresh and the sauce was obviously cooked for a long time and tasty. I would come back and try another dish.

Got the lunch special for about $35. Included a salad (got the Caesar), an entree (got the tagliatelle), and a dessert (I had chocolate pudding). Great deal. All were delicious! Excellent, friendly and accommodating service. No wait on a Thursday at 12pm when they opened.

We got the shrimp salad and gnocchi to go. Both were excellent and they were able to accommodate dairy free for both dishes. Portions are a bit small for the price but the quality makes up for it.

They detected from my visa a wrong amount without letting me know , and when I saw that they said it will be back within 12 hours and it didn’t , very unprofessional stuff .

My friend and I went to have a little holiday dinner before the end of the year.
We were sat down immediately, put in our order, got one glass of wine.

Waited 1 whole hour before we were addressed again. The table next to us was seated, had bread and mains, before we were even addressed again.

They must have forgotten to put in our order or something because, again, after an hour they realized we were still without a refill or any of our food that was ordered.

When they finally brought the food, the rolls we ordered were still cold on the center. The pasta and Brussels sprouts were good.

I love Elli’s. It’s my favorite restaurant in Long Beach, but the service yesterday was not on par.

Great prices and service for brunch. We had a chicken sandwich and a nice breakfast pasta. Decent portion sizes. Would recommend! There is parking available nearby (we came on a Saturday and found some parking).

We went here on a Sunday afternoon for dinner with a couple of friends. The parking here is very difficult, almost IMPOSSIBLE, because there are neighboring apartments and other small businesses. It is all street parking. Unless by some miracle you find one, you'd most likely have to park at least half a mile away and walk to the restaurant.

The food was just OK. It felt like something you could whip up yourself at home in a couple of minutes with minimal effort. Nothing really stood out. We ordered Oysters, Burrata, Gnocchi, and Tagliatelle. The serving portions were tiny in my eyes. I still felt like I had to eat something afterwards to feel full.

The service was amazing though. Very friendly staff, and they always checked up on us. Wait time was about 30 minutes to get everything to our table. They only have 1 gender neutral, shared bathroom, so be prepared to hold it in if there are a lot of customers. Because of the parking situation and the disappointment in food quality, we won't be going back.

Summary:
- BATHROOM. One shared, gender-neutral toilet.
- CLEANLINESS. Clean tables outside and the utensils are wrapped in a table cloth.
- COSTS. $$$ Expensive.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE. The staff was friendly and prompt. This was the only reason they received a decent rating.
- PARKING. Impossibly difficult. We had to park half a mile away near some gym and walk to the restaurant. You won't find parking at all unless you want to risk getting towed from the designated parking spots near the apartments.
- FOOD QUALITY. Mediocre. Oysters were too salty/fishy. Pastas were just OK.
- FOOD QUANTITY. Very small portions for the price.
- WAIT TIME. About 30 minutes after ordering our food to receive all the meals.

I love Ellie’s they are my neighborhood spot! I always take friends and recommend to people visiting. Not only is the food absolutely delicious but the staff is amazing. The coffee house down the block doesn’t allow dogs in and I like to grab a coffee for our morning walks and they always take care of us! Thank you so much for contributing to our neighborhood and food scene 🤍🤍🤍

Great tasting food. Every dish was well balanced and really tasty.
Gnocchi 5/5
- perfect consistency Gnocchi 👌. The sauce and creme fraiche was well a great pairing.
Tagliatelle pork ragu 5/5
- the pasta tasted freshly made and the sauce was really good.
Brussels sprouts with sausage 5/5
- sets the bar high for other roasted busses sprouts
Croquettes 5/5
- great consistency again. The sauce pairing was squeegeed off the plate. So good.

We were delighted to sample a variety of handmade pastas, each offering its own unique flavor. Among them, the Baked Parmesan Cavatelli stood out as my personal favorite. While it was on the saltier side, the pasta was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. On the other hand, the Angel Hair pasta noodles were a disappointment. They were overcooked and became overly soft. The Mafaldine with the spicy vodka sauce, however, hit the spot. I must admit, I wasn’t a fan of the Gnocchi. It was delicious, but something felt amiss. The crab dip, which I had been hoping for a creamy dip version, turned out to be a salsa-style dip. Overall, the pastas were great.

Food was excellent and really enjoyed the outside seating area. The waiter was a great guy and he spent time giving us recommendations and telling us about the restaurant. I was disappointed with them getting rid of the hamburger since that was the reason I even found this place. It's probably not the best idea to get rid of a menu item that you are famous online for, but he apologized for that and found us something delicious to eat, so it was still worth it. Something they have no control over that is bad about going here is the total lack of parking. Give yourself 20-30 minutes to find a spot and be prepared to walk
