Tried this place after a friend mentioned it.
Sushi was pretty fresh—especially the salmon and yellowtail.
Really liked the quiet vibe and the little booth seating.
Would come back for a casual sushi night.

First waitress was ok but the waitress who brought our food had an attitude. When i asked for teriyaki sauce she told me to hold on and then took her time bringing it to the table.

Yume Japanese is one of my fave sushi spots because their sauces, toppings, quality of fish, and amount of food is the best. Whenever I go to eat sushi somewhere other than Yume, I usually wish I'd gone there instead. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is that they are charging $16 to $21 for the rolls I prefer, which is a bit much. We get 4 rolls and are stuffed; plus a pitcher of beer comes out to about $110-130 total, incl tip. If you're on a budget maybe go somewhere else, but if you want to go where every roll is a hit, choose Yume.

We've been going here for the last few months and everything has always been amazing. The Mrs and I both used to live in Japan for a bit and this sushi is very authentic and nostalgic to what we would constantly eat there. Cannot rave enough about this place 10/10 the price is very fair for the quality of ingredients and service provided. The cocktails and house sake are also amazing.

Traditional and Classy Spot to Eat.
PROS: While depicting a humble exterior, walking inside provides a top-notch atmosphere and service experience, as if you were at a more upscale restaurant. You are taken out of the norm with the ambiance and there is privacy with seating. The employees were all very courteous and professional. Timing was quick and efficient. And the food was great - flavorful and generous portions without making you feel "heavy" like so many foods these days. To top it off, the location is part of a shopping center, which means plenty of parking.
CONS: No true negatives to report. Admittedly, I initially tried to order the ramen but it was unavailable - so, I took a chance with another dish, and it was meant to be. No regrets.
I'd recommend visiting this establishment for some delicious Japanese cuisine with fitting decor, especially for a date or nice dinner, for you and/or loved ones. ??

Previously known as "Fusion Sushi," this location has undergone an interior renovation and a rebranding over the last few years. Currently, the atmosphere, food quality, and service can be considered among one of the best locations to dine in the Los Altos neighborhood.
Food Quality - I can be critical about food quality and presentation when it comes to Japanese cuisine and can report that Yume offers high quality options. Their menu is quite expansive and includes different types of sushi (fish type, handrolls, cut rolls, nigirizushi, sashimi), soups/noodles, meat bowls, bento boxes, and more. They do have lunch/dinner menu options, as well as a happy hour for those looking to save a few dollars. The price point in comparison with the taste, appearance, and quantity of your food is agreeable. Expect to spend at least $18 during your visit.
Atmosphere - the exterior of the restaurant is clean and in a safe neighborhood. There is often a security guard present during daylight hours as the location is beside a credit union. There is plenty of parking in a shared lot with the local grocery store and other businesses. The interior of Yume is beautiful. Following their renovation, they have chosen to decorate the booths, bar, and entryway to appear as if you are visiting a small Japanese village. There are bunting flags hung over the bar area, privacy screens to separate the booths, and a 2-D, model moon hung above the foyer. If anything, the atmosphere is a primary part of the experience.
Service - waiters and chefs are very attentive. All staff seems to practice good restaurant etiquette. I have not had a bad experience in the entirety of the business being open (Fusion Sushi branding to present) on any of my sporadic visits. However, please remember that the staff are only human, so staffing shortages and other unexpected complications can arise. If they seem stressed, it is because they are trying to provide good service among difficult challenges.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian rolls and dishes are available for order.
Dietary restrictions: For allergies and food restriction information, ask your waiter for an allergy menu or to inquire with the chef.
Parking: Shared parking with local businesses and grocery store. The parking lot is large and will almost always have spots available. If ever full, there is are two equally large parking lots located across the street on either side of the business.
Kid-friendliness: Families will often bring their children with them to dine here. Privacy screens are installed to separate booths. Highchairs are available upon request; I am unsure about booster seats.
Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is located on the first floor, near handicap parking. The entryway is a manual system and is double-door.

Always attitude and slow
Fusion Sushi in Long Beach offers a fun and inventive take on Japanese cuisine. Their creative sushi rolls are a highlight, but some reviewers say the traditional sushi and sashimi options are just average. Overall, it's a good choice for a casual meal, especially if you're looking for something beyond basic nigiri and sashimi.
