This was my first time here, and honestly, I’ve been to almost every Turkish restaurant across the America, I can easily put this one at the very top. The menu is huge, the place is spotless and well organized, and the design is modern and stylish. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, with generous and filling portions.
The highlight of our visit was Sefkan, the staff member who took care of us. He treated us with genuine hospitality and made us feel truly welcome just like a real host should.
Right next door, there’s also a dessert shop where you can find all the classic Turkish sweets and ice cream. Their desserts and ice cream were outstanding as well.
Highly recommend this place to everyone!

I've eating at this resturant several times and felt compelled to finally write a review. The Galata special grill for 4 or 2 is the perfect way to feed a group with plenty of leftovers. The falafel was also perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside. I've eaten in the resturant as well as placed orders for eating at home.
The owner even talked me out of overordering when I told him my group size. He lost a little money but gained a more loyal customer.
The food is consistanly great.

I will definitely coke back here and I’ve already told people about it. Love it! All my friends enjoyed it as much as I did too! All the staff are so friendly and nice all with smiles on their face too! Really welcoming

All soups and some salads were out. It was a Sunday night and the street was full of people.service was bad. 2 server were talking at the entrance with their friends and no one bring us the menu. We have to call the server and then they brought them. They bring water with no ice. Appetizers and main dishes below average.
Next door Lebanese restaurant people line to get it while in Galata was empty. Sorry to see one of few Turkish restaurants poorly performing.

I recently visited Galata Turkish Restaurant and had a pleasant overall experience. The staff were welcoming, the service was efficient, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The presentation of the dishes was appealing, and everything was served fresh and on time. However, I found that the food did not quite match authentic Turkish flavours, which was a little disappointing given the restaurant’s theme. While it was tasty, it leaned more towards a general Mediterranean style rather than true Turkish cuisine. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience, but those looking for authentic Turkish food might find it lacking.

Galata Turkish Restaurant is an absolute gem in Long Beach! The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful—every dish feels like it’s made with so much care. The kebabs are perfectly seasoned, the mezzes are delicious, and the bread comes out warm and fluffy.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a touch of authentic Turkish charm that makes you feel right at home. The staff is kind, attentive, and always happy to recommend dishes if you’re not sure what to try.
Whether you’re going for a casual dinner, a family gathering, or just want to enjoy some truly amazing Turkish cuisine, Galata is the perfect spot. Highly recommend—it’s definitely one of the best dining experiences in Long Beach!

Wonderful authentic Turkish food with outstanding service. We enjoyed the homemade juice drinks, the appetizer sampler and shared several kebab and köfte dishes and finished with Turkish ice cream. Thanks for a great experience!

The Best Restaurant in Long Beach!
Galata Haha and Grill is simply an unforgettable experience! The food is incredibly delicious, and the service is beyond excellent — you truly feel like you’re among family. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the cleanliness is top-notch.
The owner, Ayoub, is amazing and genuinely cares about every guest. His positive energy fills the entire place. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and service you receive.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Long Beach who wants to enjoy a unique and authentic experience. I will definitely be coming back again and again!
