I had horrible smothered pork chops here. They were overcooked and didnt seem fried and had a weird flavor to the gravy. The sides and cornbread were excellent.
George's soul food type place with great food. Free cornbread for all that walk through the door. The kids like to eat the chicken tenders Shrimp Box. I would recommend the Shrimp Po Boy gumbo and red beans and rice a nice way to end the meal is to eat the beignets. This place has New Orleans type vibes
Nice atmosphere good food and service
Really good food options and nice ambiance!
It was cool 😎
A great place to go try. The shrimp po boy was meh, but the pulled BBQ pork sandwich was pretty good. The menu is hit and miss. Great service, very clean, and a good sized menu.
There's nothing to brag about.
The food was not all that. The service was great 👍
Good food..has gotten better lately. Service with a smile. Nice area of Long Beach. Outdoor seating available only get cornbread if dining in.if dining out must pay extra. I don't inderstand this concept other than to encourage dining in.( disappointing) Prices are about average.

Nice and casual atmosphere. Food was good but not superb. The black eye peas didn't have any taste, they actually tasted like field peas. The collard greens needed more flavor as well. Smothered pork chops were delicious ?. The hurricane drink was OK, needed more alcohol.

I discovered this amazing restaurant on Instagram, and I’m so glad I did! My experience was exceptional, thanks to the attentive service from Kai and Shay. And the warm welcome from the manager. The food exceeded my expectations, especially the grits and fried green tomatoes, which was so delicious it made me do a happy dance in my seat. The service was truly top-notch! Most certainly planning on frequenting this establishment more often.

10.18.24 I love how I can go anywhere and if I google restaurants, the mighty powerful Google search engine will show me what's available in the area. I decided on Georgia's Restaurant as I have not had soul food in ages.
This is one of those restaurants where one orders from the board and is given a number, then food gets delivered/served at the table. The menu is clearly written, spacing of menu items is well done, and each of the menu options provides what's included or what sides to choose from.
Customer service: I was behind two gentlemen, with the older one using the pay system. Kudos to the older gentleman as he did not give up finishing his transaction. The younger gentleman did not appear to help, possibly because he is very patient in waiting, even though I waited, and waited.... I decided to be patient, too. The receptionist who took the order was just as patient I thought. Thankfully there was just me behind waiting... Customer service is pretty good, especially the one who took my order and checked in on me at the table - great smile adds to overall experience.
Atmosphere: Welcoming environment, pretty open inside and out, and clean tables.
Menu: Yes, soul food definitely. I decided on the blacked catfish and I opted for grits and collard greens. I also ordered strawberry lemonade.
A corn muffin with honey butter was served pretty quickly. It was pretty good. I probably should have asked for a lighter seasoning on the blackened catfish as it ended up to be a little strong for me but I ate it all - had to for the price. Pretty good if one likes really blackened catfish. I loved the grits. I could have had two servings of that. The collard greens were exactly how I remembered collard greens - a little bitter but it was good.
I'm not certain about the overall price as it seems to be a bit pricey. The rent and location, prices nowadays, kitchen and customer service staff are probably justified.

The food is good but the portions are small. I liked the cleanliness and that both bathrooms have a changing table.

Pork chops were tough, even with the gravy. Cornbread was very dry and the sides were mediocre. But the staff was very friendly and it's a very comfortable atmosphere. Oh and you have to place your order and pay before picking your seat.
