We went for Thanksgiving, this is our second year. Great food, and a wonderful place to be if you don't have family around. We had the same waitress both times and she was absolutely fabulous! I can't recall her name, except it starts with the letter "J". We will probably do Thanksgiving there next year as well!!

It was a Saturday evening around 6:30 and nobody was in there. We were there for about 1.30mins and very few customers came through. The food was adequate. Maybe that is the issue. Gladstones was always a fun place with good food. Our waiter was excellent; attentive, pleasant and the food came very quickly.

The Shrimp Cocktail was okay, but the shrimp was a little tough. The Chilean Seabass was EXCELLENT. The sweet potato fries weren't that great. The specialty drink was so-so and we cannot remember the name of it. Our server was not around a lot. Other servers put in food & beverage orders. We had to wait 20minutes for dessert...apple pie & a hot fudge sundae where the drizzle of fudge wasn't hot nor was it enough for 3 scoops of ice cream. We were told the dessert maker was on break & the manager made it. Nice try, but didn't work. We had to rush to our show reservation.

We we're having a staycation date night and went to Gladstone‘s because it was supposed to be a premier seafood restaurant in Long Beach. Unfortunately not. We started with the crispy calamari appetizer at $18.95. And crispy it was mostly batter and what calamari we had was overcooked and barely edible. We then we're going to get the Queensway salad with crab meat and shrimp only to learn that the crab meat was imitation crab. Really are you serious? last we had the fish tacos three tacos for $22.95. The tacos were mostly a the slaw and fruit topping. There was a side of Mexican rice that was undercooked and not edible. It seems they're mostly hoping on a one and done tourist customer base. If it weren't for the location and wonderful staff, this would've been a zero rating.

Really good calamari but the rest of the dishes lacked flavor. Cooked well, just not much flavor.

We chose this restaurant for brunch but there was no brunch menu. The menu that was available was nothing like the menu OpenTable has listed. The kids were fine with their choices but everything else was meh. The service was great but we won't be heading back.

Over the years, my mom and I have enjoyed coming here. The outdoor dining is lovely — you get a beautiful view of the marina, the water, and the Queen Mary. Service has always been excellent. Unfortunately, the food quality has really gone downhill. Everything was overcooked — the shrimp were rubbery, the steamed broccoli was so soft and wilted it looked like it had been sitting out, the crab cakes were hard, and even the fish was dry. The restaurant was nearly empty during Saturday lunch hours, which sadly says a lot. I really hope they bring back the quality that Gladstone's used to be known for.

The Queensway Salad was great! Filled with shrimp, crab, avocado, blue cheese crumbles, walnuts and bacon. The only improvement would be to have fresh crisp bacon versus pre-cooked/packaged bacon. Waiter was attentive.

The service was particularly slow. The waiter did not return nearly frequently enough to check on us or even take the order at the beginning of the meal. I had the swordfish and it was a bit dry. Perhaps it was because I did not want any butter on it , but it shouldn't have been dry.

We had a wonderful experience. This is a beautiful restaurant on the water. The service and the food were both excellent. I had the lobster tail and I think it was grilled. It tasted great! My husband had the macadamia nut encrusted fish, and it was a very large piece of fish. We will definitely be going back!

First time going to this restaurant before comedy show Across the Street. We were a party of seven they set us inside. There was no air-conditioning. We were so hot. We were all sweating. We asked if they could open some windows. They said no the food took forever to arrive. Service was very slow not what I expected.

Normally an excellent dining experience. Is Gladstone's in Long Beach going downhill? I hate to think so, because it has been one of my favorite restaurants. Went there with my girlfriend on Sunday 8/31, around 5pm. There were several items that were unavailable. The service was slow. The restrooms were disgusting. The food was mediocre at best, except for coconut shrimp, which was delicious. Maybe the poor conditions, mediocre food and unavailable items were the result of an extra busy day, maybe there were a couple of call offs. Whatever the cause, I know Gladstone's can do much better. I sincerely hope that they are not beginning to decline to the level of poor quality food and service that we experienced yesterday.
Gladstone's, please get it together and return to the high quality food and service that we have come to expect over the years.

First time trying this place and I enjoyed every bit of it. This place has such a relaxing and soothing ambiance. The service was excellent. My server was attentive as she continuously checked up on me. The food did take a little long to come out but the food was good. It wasn’t anything super delicious, but it didn’t taste horrible. FAIR WARNING, you have to pay for parking & sometimes it can be difficult to find parking. If you’re not patient, then you might as well pay for Valet parking.

The table was gross so sticky the ceramic dishes were sticking to it. The waitress asked only one of two in our group when we wanted the soup to come out. We ordered clam chowder bowls not cups. They brought the widest bowls Ive seen in a restaurant with hardly any soup in them. They gave us serving spoons to eat with. So you had to scrape the bottom of the bowl to get any soup. Which there was almost none of. They had a live music at the outside tables. He sounded great but was extremely loud. When it came time to pay the waitress never came back for an extremely long time. When we finally flagged her down she was rude and said just a minute because she was talking.
