We love eating at Gladstones, but this was the worse experience we've ever had. Our server, Annie, ignored us several times throughout the evening. We had to get other servers to help us. We had one of our orders delivered incorrectly but rather thank send it back to be fixed, we kept it because it had already taken an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. The server forgot about my husband's birthday after I had kindly reminded her several times..she just replied that she had forgotten. Finally when we needed to pay the bill, I had to walk up to the bar to pay since she never returned. The bartender was extremely nice and treated us respectfully, which we appreciated. I do believe in tipping, but I pray that the tip we left goes to everyone except our server.
Service was excellent! We celebrated an early birthday and the server made my guest feel special! We'll be back!
The food was good, but was cold. The server did not check in until after 10 minutes, so I had to eat it cold. I didn't order an alcoholic beverage, so I think he was not interested in checking on me anymore. The view and the weather were amazing
Food was not good. Overpriced. Feels like a place that due to its location doesn't feel like it has to actually serve anything good
Unfortunately, the swordfish tasted very fishy, but our server offered another that was very good. My shrimp enchiladas were very good and the clam chowder was excellent.
I wish this location was destroyed by a mudslide and not the good Malibu location. Empty, disgusting and expensive. Triple threat of bad!
We had lunch at 2pm. The fish tacos were sub par and the spanish rice that accompanied it was dry, like it was yesterdy's rice. The chips looked and tasted like they were storebought as was the salsa. Worst fish taco plate I've ever had. Service wasn't great. He took too long to take our order and never returned to see if we wanted anything else. Best thing about this visit was the weather, the view and my date.
Excellent food and service. The view from the restaurant overlooking the pier is beautiful. Especially with all of the Christmas light decorations. Just beautiful.
We waited over an hour for our food with no explanation. We overhead a server tell another table that they had a 60 person Christmas party and were completing their order first. This wouldn't have been a problem if it was communicated.
We went for Thanksgiving, this is our second year. Great food, and a wonderful place to be if you don't have family around. We had the same waitress both times and she was absolutely fabulous! I can't recall her name, except it starts with the letter "J". We will probably do Thanksgiving there next year as well!!

It was a Saturday evening around 6:30 and nobody was in there. We were there for about 1.30mins and very few customers came through. The food was adequate. Maybe that is the issue. Gladstones was always a fun place with good food. Our waiter was excellent; attentive, pleasant and the food came very quickly.
The Shrimp Cocktail was okay, but the shrimp was a little tough. The Chilean Seabass was EXCELLENT. The sweet potato fries weren't that great. The specialty drink was so-so and we cannot remember the name of it. Our server was not around a lot. Other servers put in food & beverage orders. We had to wait 20minutes for dessert...apple pie & a hot fudge sundae where the drizzle of fudge wasn't hot nor was it enough for 3 scoops of ice cream. We were told the dessert maker was on break & the manager made it. Nice try, but didn't work. We had to rush to our show reservation.
We we're having a staycation date night and went to Gladstone‘s because it was supposed to be a premier seafood restaurant in Long Beach. Unfortunately not. We started with the crispy calamari appetizer at $18.95. And crispy it was mostly batter and what calamari we had was overcooked and barely edible. We then we're going to get the Queensway salad with crab meat and shrimp only to learn that the crab meat was imitation crab. Really are you serious? last we had the fish tacos three tacos for $22.95. The tacos were mostly a the slaw and fruit topping. There was a side of Mexican rice that was undercooked and not edible. It seems they're mostly hoping on a one and done tourist customer base. If it weren't for the location and wonderful staff, this would've been a zero rating.
Really good calamari but the rest of the dishes lacked flavor. Cooked well, just not much flavor.
This restaurant is in a great location and the food is delicious! The staff are friendly and professional.
