Really delicious, unique bread and pastries. Masa madre for the win! They are also so nice. I came in today for the first time with my baby daughter. They helped me with the door and brought my coffee to me outside. It made me feel so welcome.
Naturally leavened loaves that vanish quickly—set an alarm. The pan de coco is subtly sweet, and the seeded sourdough is a weekly staple. You can smell the bakery from half a block away. Staff is cheerful even during rush. Coffee’s solid too, so it’s a one-stop breakfast.
Popped into Gusto Bread on 4th Street adorable little spot, definitely low-key vibes. The line wasn't long, but you could tell people were excited to be there. I had a ham-and-cheese croissant and one of those pastries from the Nixtamal Queen that everyone seems to be raving about the croissant was flaky, cheesy, messy (a good kind of messy), and that Nixtamal pastry was sweet, chewy, and just completely different in a very positive way.
