Should you move to Long Beach so that you can go to Gusto Bread literally all the time? Absolutely!
Gusto most definitely deserves all the awards they’ve been nominated for. Every single pastry and bread they make is amazing. Staff is friendly. Vibe is soothing, and they are always playing good albums on the record player. Go early as some of their items may sell out by later in the day.
So we had heard many great things about Gusto Bread in Long Beach. For some reason or another we had not made it in to visit. But now we have and we are so happy that we did. The Cafe de Olla on ice was incredible. Absolutely loved it as it was so tasty. We coupled that with the guava pastry and that was delicious as well. All the bread in the display looked so fresh & tasty. We are definitely coming back to buy some of that bread. The parking could be a little tough as there...
Hands down the best bread in LB and even all of SoCal actually ... Get there early because their bread sells out fast! Not surprising The Washington Post included them on their Top 10 list of bakeries in the US ... Blessing having them 5 min away 🙏🏽
My only issue is that they're closed Mondays and Tuesdays ... Hence the 5/5 and not 6/5 stars :)
