Hak Heang is a staple for Khmer families to host weddings, but they are open all day for casual dining as well. One of my favorite places to dine in for authentic Khmer food. I ordered seafood Mekathang & jasmine hot tea. Service was very attentive & dishes come out very quickly. The flavors of the Khmer seafood stir fried noodles are always a hit. Hak Heang is a great place to stop by if you're looking for authentic Cambodian food.

It was good to experience a Cambodian restaurant in Long Beach. We came for a wedding where they hosted the meals for the day. I was able to enjoy some classic dishes like the sour beef soup (salaw machuu) and quail. They do have a good assortment of food items and pretty much something for everyone. The people working here were friendly and accommodating.

Food is good and I like the hot tea. I will not come back because after being seated where I was told, the first waitress came up to the table aggressively; only acknowledging my friend. She tried skipping my drink order and gave me a really hard time when I asked for hot tea. Super weird and she was getting only mad at me when I've never seen this lady before. After ordering she just looked at me with a face of disgust for like five seconds (????). So uncalled for. We thankfully got another waitress who brought our food. Not worth it considering unprovoked rudeness. FINAL NOTE: mid meal there was a dj setting up and proceeds to BLAST rap music to the point it was painful. Irritating. Unfortunate because some staff has etiquette.

The food is good but the service is crab. It’s not really first come first serve. We came first but waited almost an hour to get the food while the others who just came got all the orders. It doesn’t make any sense at all. It would be nice to see the improvement.

A meal AND a show. I'm here on a Saturday morning and upon entering what I thought was karaoke were live singers dressed to the nines. The singers were dressed in sparkling cocktails dresses, tuxedos, and singing in Cambodian, AT 10 A.M. IN THE MORNING. It was a spectacular sight and I was mesmerized. The inside of the restaurant is huge, like a wedding Asian banquet hall but the menu offers what you would find at a typical Cambodian noodle restaurant (similar to a pho restaurant for the ones that are unfamiliar). There are fancier dishes such as lobster and deep fried fish. The restaurant is a bit run down and the menu is crusty and yellowed. The service was extremely slow. Not enough waiters for a restaurant this size. The food is pretty good though and the prices are reasonable in this age of inflation. Bang for buck for the meal and show I'd give it four stars. The terrible service and sticky menu. Lowered to three stars. I'd actually give it 3.5. If you ever find yourself in Cambodia town in Long Beach this is a must stop by.

Cambodian restaurants are far and few between, even though Long Beach is home to Little Cambodia Town. Hak Heang is a staple for Khmer families to host weddings, but they are open all day for casual dining as well. I was craving fried large intestines, which they don't have at many places in Long Beach. Hak Heang makes great fried intestines. It is crispy and decadent, and is well complemented by pickled cabbage and fish sauce dip. I also got their stir fried chicken and ginger. It's good! I think Hak Heang is a great place to stop by if you're looking to eat some Cambodian food that you don't get access to in a lot of other places.

The place is pretty big. You can arrange large events there. The food is definitely authentic. There were only 3 of us and we ordered 8 dishes because we were very curious on the authenticity of the food. The food are very flavorful and tasty. They also have live singing on the weekend. It may be a little loud for some. If you are around the area, give this place a try if you are looking for true Khmer food.

Probably the most authentic Asian restaurant around. Where most Asian restaurants offer only two soups, Has Heang probably has over a dozen. Everything at our table was judged excellent.
