Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

Some of the best ice cream I've had. Soft and silky smooth, great tasting and no freezer burn taste.

What a great ice cream experience! ...we eat a lot of ice cream and so were quite pleased that a local friend took us to this place on a warm afternoon after having a nice lunch at The Attic over in another part of town.

However, do not let the long line deter you. It moves quickly and we had our ice cream in no time. I tried the dark cherry and the pineapple upside down cake, my wife got a couple other flavors, and our lactose-free friend had the pomegranate sorbet and the mango sorbet. All were excellent but the sorbet is what really surprised us. I would never choose that over ice cream, but the flavor of both was excellent and the smooth creaminess of the mango was surprising and a nice treat for a sorbet.

Their ice cream is all house-made, which makes a big difference. We always ask if a place makes their own and try to support places like this that are not buying from a mass factory producer.

Great little ice cream spot. They have a ton of fun flavors to choose from and the portion size is solid. I got the monkey banana flavor and it was delicious.

The best place for gourmet ice cream. It’s reasonably priced and soooo good. There’s only outside seating, but it’s quick and perfect for a sweet tooth. They have so many flavors for any mood you’re in. I recommend “Monkey Business” if you like banana flavoring.

My daughter's and I love Handel's ice cream. We stopped by yesterday to take my nephew since he's never had it. He ordered the Horchata ice cream and he loved it. He will definitely be going back! Huge thank you to Jude! Great customer service! He was very friendly and offered my 1 year old daughter a baby cone.

Whoever is shift leading between 8:40PM till now as this review is posted, I feel like the workers don’t noticed that we can see that they’re not really doing anything. Not sure if there plenty of trainees, but the line movement is slower than usually. One employee would wash their hands, wait a few minutes, and just stand there. Seems like there are only two windows open as well. Girl with pinkish red hair was friendly and provided excellent customer service. Chocoholic Chunk in a milkshake form is rich. Employees just need to be aware to keep it professional because of the windows.

The ice cream is very affordable and tasty! They provide many different types of flavors and many different ice cream forms (?) such as a banana split, ice cream sandwich, you can even get a pint of any of their flavor!
