I wanted so badly to be able to give this 5 stars. Unfortunately, I cannot. We went here for a special occasion on 10/25. We showed up for our 8:00 reservation at 7:55. Somehow, we weren't seated until 8:10 or 8:15. Now, the food was absolutely delicious. The snacks at the beginning were scrumptious, especially the lobster crostata. I only wish we had more than one each. The tea was also an absolute delight. We both enjoyed the kanpachi, but the passionfruit covered any innate flavor of the fish. It desperately needed sodium to carry some more flavor. The braised octopus was perhaps the star of the show. However, I was desperately left begging for more. I'd argue the portion was insultingly small - three or four small pieces. I had just enough to pique my interest but felt utterly disappointed to not have had more. The scallop was tasty, but I found the presentation to be needlessly pretentious with what was essentially gravel in the plate. Only positive things to say about the rockfish. The aged duck was FANTASIC - but one slice for the main dish? Again, as tasty as it was, I was left in desperation for more like with the octopus. The Meyer lemon yogurt was fine, but not noteworthy by any means. The vanilla parsnip crisps were delicious, but the pudding was truly indistinguishable from instant vanilla pudding. The wine pairing was fine. Half pours per drink. I would not recommend it for the price. The red cab and the Albariño were the only impressive ones. Service was mediocre considering this was a starred meal. Lacking in attention to detail. The (minor) mess on our table was not wiped clean for several courses. Nothing impressive, and surely not up to par for Michelin. This is my fourth starred restaurant, and the first where I've felt disappointed. Over $600 after tip for 2 people felt like it should've been $300 max. I cannot in good faith recommend this experience, perhaps most because it didn't feel like an “experience”. It felt like any other mid-ra
The experience was fantastic. The food was slightly saltier than I prefer, but it's a personal preference. The dessert was phenomenal, but it was just a bit salty and nothing extraordinary, except for their lobster bites.
Food was amazing. Good variety and invention in the tasting menu. Service was very friendly. Recommend valet parking to make your trip easier. Dining room was slightly loud but able to have a casual conversation.
Great food great service. The physical restaurant itself wasn't that appealing. Busy street lots of cars driving by. They left the door open. But the food and the service were amazing. The restaurant was small with low ceilings so the noise level was kinda high.
A special experience for a special night. The service was exceptional and was personal. Fortunately, we were able to sit at the counter, and was able to observe and interact with the chefs who were so friendly. The food was exceptional. I look forward to seeing them receive their second star soon.
Amazing and inventive food. Excellent service. Probably best scallops I've had. Fun place!
We ate here for our anniversary the other night. Breaking things down... 1) the service was great! 2) the food was all excellent except the steak was too fatty. Sorry, at these prices I expect perfection 3) ambience and noise level. There were 3 businessmen in at the same time, and although we were sitting on the other side of the room, there were times when we couldn't hear each other or the server. And we weren't the only ones! Two other couples were seated near them and both left. One to sit at the bar and another to sit by us. And yet, through all of this, the serving staff didn't say a word to them! And when we asked if the other couples had moved because of the noisy people they said yes. It really ruined the night and I'm being generous in my rating. Especially for the amount of money we paid. So if you want a nice, quiet, romantic meal, this might not be the place for you
You would never guess this place was a Michelin star restaurant from the outside. Looks like someone's house. Incredible food.

I have 2 gripes here; the clientele is a rather entitled bunch and the portions are tiny for the price point. I go to tasting menus regularly and the quality is OUTSTANDING - the nuance, the creativity, the textures, the flavors and especially the tea infused with Palo Santo, but in order to make it worth it for me, I’d really need double the portions. Will just be a house-looking place on the corner, with a valet if you can’t find parking. Keep an eye out for the hornets’s nest on the awning while you wait.

This restaurant should not be anywhere near Michelin status. The food was extremely salty, the atmosphere was overcrowded and noisy, and the overall experience was disappointing. For the prices they charge, I expected quality and refinement, but it felt rushed and poorly executed. Definitely not worth it.

A symphony of flavors. The depth of flavors astounding. Absolutely without a doubt the most amazing experience. You must experience for yourselves. It's beyond special and spectacular.
Overall, a nice experience. Food was very good. Scallop and dashi butter was exceptionally delicious z
I appreciated the creative touches in presentation, which matched the quality of the flavors.
