We went to the Jay Bird's location in the Long Beach industrial park food hall. It was a weekday around lunch, so the place was packed with employees of the surrounding business. With the many options, it's easy to be distracted, but Jay Bird's should be your go to spot. They started to really grow a couple years ago and their food and service is why. Each time we've gone, we experience impeccable service. This time around, we ordered the Mac Daddy, which is a friend chicken sandwich loaded with mac n cheese. While it might seem heavy, the cheese sauce is surprisingly light and doesn't overpower the sandwich. It adds a delicate creaminess and great flavor to the sandwich. The chicken is juicy and cooked to a nice level of crispiness. The crinkle cut fries are not a home run, but they're seasoned well and I don't have any complaints. They have a small counter area for dining, but there are tables around the warehouse that are shared amongst the other restaurants. The staff was friendly and they were quickly making the food. Jay Bird's is always consistent at their various locations and my go to "chain" for a fried chicken sandwich.

Easy order from the menu. I was craving something like chick fil A and Jay Bird got it. Medium spicy wasn't spicy for me, next time I'll get a higher level.

I'm a big fried chicken sandwich fan, especially Nashville hot style, so I was excited to try Jay Bird's Chicken at The Hangar. I ordered Chicken Sandwich (medium spice to be safe) with Fries. The sandwich was solid - chicken was crispy, well seasoned, and not too spicy (I asked for hot sauce on the side to kick it up a notch) and it was served on a typical brioche bread with coleslaw and pickles. There was a good chicken to bread ratio in each bite and the sandwich held together quite nicely. The fries were good, advertised as spicy, but came out as a savory seasoning to me. Overall good spot for a hot chicken sandwich, I'd probably kick it up to a hot or extra hot next time.

My go-to spot in The Hangar for non-alcoholic drinks (the fresh-squeezed lemonade is great, and they'll cheerfully refill you at the counter without making you wait through the ordering line again!) and fries (beating other places whose whole deal is fries) even when I'm getting my main food from another place. As for the chicken, when I got it in a sandwich it was good, but when I ordered just a dark meat quarter, it was kind of unwieldy.
Got "The Chop" for lunch recently. Fairly keto friendly, the slaw didn't seem sweet at all, which is great. I got an extra tender. Very delicious and reasonably priced given how food prices are these days. I would go back and get this again in a heartbeat.

Finally got a chance to visit The Hanger at LBX and after a few go-rounds, I decided on Jay Bird's Chicken because I typically love Nashville Hot Chicken. Jay Bird's chicken sandwich did not disappoint! I opted for the Baby Jay which included 4 oz. of Chicken Breast that was topped with their infamous "Comeback Sauce" as well as dill pickles on a brioche bun. I ordered my sandwich "mild" and was shocked when there was basically no kick at all! I also ordered a side of coleslaw and was wildly disappointed by the taste and realized my Baby Jay sandwich also came with coleslaw which must have been a mistake. If it wasn't a mistake, then I wish the employee would have told me before (or after) I ordered the side - particularly because I even asked her about the taste! I wish there was more mayo in the coleslaw. I did not order any sauces because they all seemed to cost extra $$$. Anyway, I thought Jay Bird's was decent and would order from here again. I love that there are so many options in The Hanger. I also liked that there was seating both inside and outside. I also obviously loved realizing there was a check in offer - I was able to get a free order of waffles and they seriously hit the spot. Thank you Jay Bird's! See you again soon!

I love going here! They have Great service with little to no wait time and employees are super friendly. Their chicken is amazing I recently switched from always getting mild to now medium and the taste is great. Chicken is juicy and the fries have alot of season. Overall 10/10 recommend!!

Out of all the hot chicken places I've tried Jay Bird's is by far the best. I usually get tenders and fries but this time I got the blazin fries and added chopped up pickles and it's officially my new staple order. Service is good and it's inside the LBX Hangar so there's plenty of room to sit and other places to get drinks/dessert from.
