I have never been more surprised by a burger place than trying Jim’s. In town for a wedding and a friend and I were desperate for a burger while running endless errands so we stopped by. Our first bites and we were in heaven. It was literally all we could talk about the rest of the day, so much so it convinced everyone to let us get it for lunch the next day. Prices are great for the amount and quality that you get. The service was phenomenal, especially with the mass amount of food we asked of them in one order. I will literally be coming back to town just for this cheeseburger!

The food was excellent and ready quickly! Lots of hard working people in the kitchen. The seasoned fries were amazing and the avocado bacon burger was fantastic. The avocados were creamy and the bacon was lean without nasty chunks of fat you usually get when you order anything with bacon. We also had a couple of their hot dogs and they were excellent. I go to CSULB and tried this because it was close and it turned out to be a hidden gem of a family ran burger joint! Also, they have a drive thru that is way less congested than other mediocre competitors nearby.

I'll try to be as honest and unbiased as possible. This place is rated "$" but I somehow spent $18 on a combo. Very, very poor customer service. She was t necessarily rude, but the lack of attention/service can come off that way. I needed napkins and ketchup, she never came back to give it to me. Ranch is very mid. My soda came 3/4 filled with ice, no joke! I feel robbed and very frustrated. However I will admit, the food was not bad, I mean, it's a burger joint. So overall mid place, poor customer service, long wait time in drive thru. I will not return.
I turned down a wrong street and saw Jim's. It looked promising as we like to try small chains and random places. As we were walking in, another patron was like, "They have the best food in town." Awesome!!! I tend to trust locals. They had a decent menu. I ordered their western bacon cheeseburger combo. The food was prompt but it was soooo salty. I could not finish it. I noticed they put some sort of seasoning salt on the fries and all over my burger. I ate most of my burger and some of my fries. My fingers were so swollen and sore the next morning due to the salt I consumed. I don't think I'll be back.
