El chamuco is great if you like mezcal and the wife loved the strawberry margarita. Possibly the best tacos we have ever had (barbacoa, asada and carnitas).

The food in the drink were delicious. As soon as we arrive, we provided our reservations and was seated right away. The waitress was amazing. The only downfall was some drinks and food that we ordered off the menu was no longer available. Other than that would definitely come back.

We visited Kalaveras at the long beach pike for the first time again we took our family from Northern California out for drinks. I give them a 5 on food and drinks we only ordered appetizers but the drinks were out of this world big difference in taste and presentation from the prior place we visited Tuesday night in Downey I am beer lover but i decided to try their cocktails and wow! The Kalaveras chamoyada, guavadita and Mescal drinks we tasty!!!!!!!! I gave them a 1 star on service because our server completely forgot about us I had to get up and remind her that we were still here and ordered a second round !!! Also when we got the second round of drinks, they did not put any of the topping on our drinks example not mango or the dehydrated lemon on the guava or mescal drink or the mango on the chamoyada. The server’s answer was we are out of the toppings. No excuses you impressed us with the first set of drinks and then you failed on the second round no excuse!!!!!

The service was A1 from the beginning to the end. Thank you so much to our server Linda for the lovely experience. The food was amazing! Our table had the queso birria tacos, with a side of rice and beans. We also tried the Kala burrito. The aesthetic of the place is so cute! Definitely coming back next time I’m in town.

A nice Mexican restaurant in Long Beach. Festive atmosphere. Dia De los Muertes atmosphere. Food was decent, wife raved about Kala Bowl. I hade Chicken fajitas and I avoid carbs so I don’t get beans or rice or tortillas. I usually request a salad and they accommodated that request, no extra charge. We also just drink water, no alcohol so sometimes it seems like we get dismissed for no drinks, a little bit of that vibe here. Our food was delivered to our table within 7 minutes, lightning fast! Hearty portions. Staff was not very attentive to water refills, tip suffered because of that. Took awhile to get our check. A little loud but all in all a pretty good dinner.

Worst Kalaveras location by far. Vibe is ok, service was friendly and on point - but the food was TERRIBLE. In fact, the papas taco was so spicy it was literally inedible (the waitress asked why I had left it on the plate and I said it was so spicy I had a bite and almost felt sick, and she confirmed that she also tried it and it was too spicy for her too). Would definitely not come back here.

My husband n I came for the first time last week, and will never go back. Our server “Ivone” not only stole money from my debit card by adding a $7 tip. But also charged us $8 for a side of fries. We got 2 sides. Which were very small, and paid $16. On the website a side of fries is $4. Our check came out to $68. Service was terrible, and I still tipped $13 (20%). Later to check my bank account n see I was charged $75. The restaurant refunded me the $7, but was very unapologetic. Really bad service, the people you hire represent the company. She stole from me twice, $8 in fries & $7 outside of the tab. Don’t recommend!

Absolutely LOVED Kalaveras! Phenomenal tacos (especially the carne asada and chicharron), strong frozen margaritas, and a great patio to sit on.
Highly recommend you check them out if you’re in the area, I know I’ll be back in the future.
Fantastic lunch experience. Great service with Anna! Spouse had TACOS GOBERNADOR which was delicious and I had ENCHILADAS DE CAMARON which has a quite unique sauce. Marqs were great!
