I love this place. I have been coming here for almost 20 yrs. I have visited other restaurants in Little India in Artesia, San Diego and have been to India, and Kamal’s Palace has great food. Of all the places I have tried it is one of the few that does not give me heartburn. I hope this helps!
Considering the quality of the food, this is a proper diamond in the buffet rough for $17. Highly recommend if you're a fan of Indian cuisine.
The flavors are very modestly muted for the American palette but is still packed full of spices and seasoned accordingly.
Bonus for the waterfront seating that's available and the garlic naan they give at the beginning too.

First time eating here and wow! I seriously didn't know this place existed because it's hidden away but it's a true hidden gem. We came with a large party and tried so many plates, NOTHING disappointed.
This is already the second time we’ve been here. It is the first thing that comes to when we came to Long Beach. This restaurant is literally the best I’ve been to in my life. Great atmosphere, food, and service. The people here help costumers as their family and are kind and compassionate. They even gave us a discount on our food because we didn’t eat as much as in our buffet. The mutton and chicken items are one of the best I have tried, it even reminds me of my mother’s. The veg items are equally as good. The restaurant itself is in a great location with great tranquility. They keep the food and the restaurant very clean with a great out outdoor seating. Definitely come with family. We will always remember this restaurant! Will come again soon

I went to see the newly remodeled setup and it's great! I stayed for the all-you-can-eat buffet and waddled out of there full and happy!

Disappointing at best. Zero flavor. Too pricy for what you get. The Nan rated old. Very disappointing, will not make that mistake twice.
