It was a last minute decision and KianaKai's Hawaiian Shave Ice Catering was able to accommodate my event. We decided to have shave ice catered (rather than having a dessert table) for our son's first birthday. We thought it'd be a good idea as a dessert for a hot summer day and boy was it a HIT! We got a lot of compliments from our guests telling us that it was a nice touch. It was easy to get in touch with them for their catering service. I submitted the online inquiry and Eric responded quickly. He was professional and responsive throughout the process. On the event day, Anthony and another server were prompt & ready to serve. They had tons of yummy flavors and a Hawaiian style-setup set up. The catering already comes with a good variety of 32 flavors and toppings (sno-cap, li-hing mui powder, sour spray). We decided to add the ice cream, sweetened adzuki beans and mochi bites. All in all we had a really good experience with them and would definitely recommend this for your event as it is sure to be a crowd pleaser!

If you are looking for authentic Hawaiian shave ice to enhance your next party, look no further than these guys. KianaKai was the crown jewel at my daughter's luau themes 7th bday party of about 50 kids and adults. The transaction from the beginning at inquiry with owner, Eric, to the day of our event was friendly, efficient, and worry-free. They come prepared with their own tables, chairs, and awning for their station, and provide a myriad of flavors and combinations that will please all guests. The ice is "shaved" to the consistency of powder snow-- not the gritty ice bits that are typical of "snow cones" you probably make at home. We got the Ohana package that includes the ice cream in the middle with the toppings on top. You can also get the shave ice with the different flavors of syrup for a little less...but the ice cream with the toppings was a hit at our party. We will definitely be booking again with KianaKai.

KianaKai Shave Ice was so good! They served shave ice for my sons 8th Birthday party. Eric and Tommy were great and are so courteous. The shave ice was so yummy and they had all the delicious flavors. Many of us got 2nd's because it was so good. My son loved it. I would definitely call them again and recommend for parties. I would even skip the cake and just have shave ice!

I had KianaKai's shave ice at a party and it was so delicious! The texture of the ice and the flavor menu was amazing. I got guava, lychee, and passion fruit. My son got rainbow. We were both SO pleased. I love that there are options beyond the mainland grape and cherry that you might find elsewhere. Not to mention, topping it off with some condensed milk. Drooling.

Eric's son and nephew did an amazing job for our family yesterday. I had family in town from Hawaii and even they gave their stamp of approval on the shaved ice. It was totally delicious and the service was great. My favorite part was the variety of flavors and toppings. My family is saying we now have a shave ice connection :) We will definitely be using them again for future family events.

I was looking to book someone to do a Shave Ice machine last minute and Eric came to the rescue. He was great at communicating with me before the event, and was on time with set up. It was the hit of the party. His price was even a little less than the other places I found online. He even had some Ling Hing Mui which a girl that used to live in Hawaii was very excited about.

Turned put to be a little more pricey than I had planned but all my fault as my event took place on a very hot day and my guests returned for seconds and thirds of the shaved ice I was hoping to see a shaved ice truck as I observed in pics on the internet. Instead, the setup was a 6' decorated table which was fine but definitely caught me by surprise Shaved Ice, many flavors offered and ice cream were AWESOME! THANK YOU!
I booked KianaKai's for my son's graduation party and I'm so glad I did. My guests loved all the different choices and combinations. The shave ice is huge and reminded my husband of the shave ice back home. Finely shaved ice, ono syrups, ice cream and toppings. We even made 2 signature combos to go with the theme of the party. Where do I start??? Eric responded almost immediately to my initial inquiry, answered any and all questions, and was so pleasant to work with. We were worried that they might run out of supplies, being that we were their second party of the day...not the case at all! KianaKai was the highlight of my daughter's graduation party, with some kids going back for seconds, and even thirds! The servings are HUGE and the flavors are yummy! I'm looking forward to our next party, just so we can have KianaKai again!

Wish they were at an actual location. Went a few times during the summer and they were not at their usual place. They were booked at parties. Good for them but I wish there was a place where I could go anytime and know they are there. The shaved ice is so soft and refreshing. Yummy!
