Me and my friends had traveled from LV to CALI and we saw this cute little restaurant when we were over, the food I had ordered (steak, it did not specify if it was a 8oz etc but if I'm paying $38 for a steak I would expect a 8oz steak) was okay and i said that directly to the server. I did not mean it in a negative way but judging by her reaction she did not appreciate what I had just said. She goes on and says, "Only okay? You were the first to finish!" I was the first because the $38 meal was only 7 pieces of meat plus 5 asparagus and 5 slices of potatoes. My friends and I all shared my plate because they didn't enjoy their food either. The prices were expensive and the service was annoyingly poor. My server, Madi, was probably my least favorite part about the whole experience.

We had two types of oysters, which were quite good. The lobster roll was good, but expensive for the size. The wine pours (for $14 each) seemed light, but maybe it was just the short ridiculous water glass they serve in. My biggest issue was the service. The server was inattentive, and the entrees were very slow to come out. $200 for two people. Not sure it measures up to that.

We visited the restaurant twice now... and really like what's happening here. We've had a kicked up shrimp cocktail, and a beautiful pastor prawn dish with a lime crema , garnished beautifully with radishes & micro greens.... the texture of the prawns, quality and flavor is everything you need to know about what's coming out of the kitchen.Looking forward to exploring the menu further, and maybe trying the mid week happy hour .

Treat yourself and dine at Liv’s. We started with the Beach Tower along with the bread and butter. We also ordered a bottle of Waylan Grenache blanc. The tower had everything on the seafood appetizer you could want. Fresh oysters, lobster salad, generous shrimp, salmon crudo and muscles. Delicious! We also enjoyed the crusted halibut, rosemary bone marrow & oysters, Nashville fried fish and the Tom Kha mussels. All were excellent and cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the orange olive oil cake and the Affogato with their homemade vanilla ice cream. Our son is a regular at Liv’s and after dining there we understand why. We wish chef Rob and his excellent staff every success!

Food was ok. Very expensive. The lobster chowder was like juice. Not thick or hearty. The oysters were good. The sourdough bread was a bit stale. For what we spent on the meal I wanted it to be better. I always pass this place and want to try it and was disappointed for my first experience. I'd like to come and try other menu items that sounded good maybe it was a bad night

I was very excited about this place as it had very good reviews. Unfortunately the food did not live up to the hype. The food was extremely bland. Ordered the Nashville hot fish and although the fish was tender, the batter had zero seasoning in it and the dish was overall plain. Also ordered the lobster roll, which had a little more flavor, but not much more. The only thing that I ordered that was good was the calamari. The rings were well battered and the calamari was nicely cooked.

The staff was wonderful, but the food was just okay.We went for Valentine's Day and we're both eager to try menu items we had looked up in advance. To our surprise there was a fixed menu for $85 a person. We had called ahead of time and made a reservation and the fixed menu was never mentioned. We weren't overly impressed with the food and neither of us are eager to return which is a huge bummer because we're both foodies and LOVE a good oyster bar.

Okay the Caesar salad is bomb. Friendly staff. It was cold AF. Fries were cold. The items were either 10/10 or 2-3/10 on the plate. Very bipolar experience. But I'd still go back for the Caesar!

Incredible food and experience, from start to finish. Oysters were so fresh!! Tom kha mussels and hot fish were also standouts. Friendly staff was the cherry on top! Will be back!!!

Incredible experience from the vibe to the food to the staff to Rob the owner. What a night out!! Exactly what we’ve been looking for in long beach. I was especially impressed by the quality and freshness of a seafood and their local sourcing. Incredible flavor profiles cannot wait to come back for some food and wine again.

Happened to catch HH. Really good Korean beer with a fried oyster Ceasar salad (dressing was beautiful), a half dz oysters, and the Nashville Hot Fish with fries. The staff, food, service, decor were wonderful. The recommendations I was given were spot on. I hope they continue to do well and serve great food.

Very simple clean layout and decor. Not quite very big place. Good music streamed on the patio. Food was pretty good. Flavoring was really good. Only thing is that kitchen was kind of slow. Took 30 mins to get half a dozen oysters out and it wasn't that busy and another 30 mins to get our mains out. The other odd this is that the one bathroom is all the way in the back through the kitchen. You just feel like you're interrupting their flow.

The food was fresh and delicious! Our server was a lot of fun and provided excellent recommendations. Highly recommend the oysters, caviar, and calamari to start. The lobster rolls were flavorful, I subbed the fries for a Caesar salad, best Caesar salad I've ever eaten!

We love Liv's! The service is always outstanding and the food is consistently delicious. We've enjoyed all of the seafood dishes that we have tried. We've also loved the Lucky Nick's pizza pop-up twice.
