I haven't dined at L'Opera in decades. We had a group of 6 in town for a meeting and we all enjoyed both the incredible food and the ambiance. We ordered the calimari appetizer, butternut squash ravioli, barramundi special, ricotta & spinach ravioli, rigatoni, house special salad, and a variety of desserts. Each dish was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. Unlike many restaurants, it was quiet and we were easily able to hear each other. I will return soon!
The food was delicious and the wait staff knew exactly when to come to the table without being overbearing. We had a lovely dinner at L'Opera!
Great service, perfect private birthday dinner! Our server was the sweetest guy, very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious! Recommend the lasagna di pollo!
It took for ever to get our first drinks and it seems like the Servers were more concentrated on pushing the bottles of Panna cotta and pelllegrino water than the drinks and the entrees , Great Pasta but very poor service !!
What a wonderful experience that made my 1-year anniversary with my girlfriend even more special! The ambiance and food was amazing! It really set the mood for a special evening. The service was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The little surprise they gave my girlfriend and I for our anniversary was so cute! We will definitely be making this place a yearly tradition! Will be telling all of Long Beach about this place! Thank you L'Opera!!
Lovely ambiance, the food was excellent and the wait staff very attentive and understanding.
My wife and I had our first date night since our baby was born, and L'Opera was the perfect choice! We started with the calamari, which we both loved, followed by the fish of the day (sea bass) for her, and the filet for me—both were cooked to absolute perfection. Everything was flavorful and beautifully done without being over the top. The service was also fantastic. Roberto and Antonio were super attentive and friendly, which made the night feel even more special. We wanted to treat ourselves, and this place really delivered. Highly recommend for a great night out!
This is our favorite restaurant for our entire family. Enjoyed a lovely afternoon/evening celebrating a birthday. The wait staff was wonderful and very attentive, and the food was wonderful as well!
The restaurant was beautiful and our service was impeccable and the food was fantastic. It was a little loud. Granted, there was a Dodgers game on in the bar that raised the sound level. Go Dodgers. We had a lovely birthday celebration.
We went on a Friday night and there was a jazz band playing in the background. The music was loud enough to hear but not so loud as to distract from our conversation. The service was perfect. Our server Alfredo was well informed about the menu and answered our questions. We also needed a dietary requirement met and he communicated that to the kitchen, and it was accommodated. It is not the least expensive restaurant, but we were celebrating a birthday and wanted an elevated experience, and we received it.

Such a wonderful experience we had at L'Opera last night. The 2 of us had completely different meals, both were excellent. The light eater had a L'Opera salad (1/2 size) and the Spinach and Ricotta Gnudi. Both were excellent, and paired perfectly with a glass of Tattinger Champagne! The heartier diner had the Gilet Mignon meal which was cooked perfectly and served with polenta sticks and a decadent mushroom sauce. This was paired with a glass of Decoy Cabernet. Dinner was topped off with a “Sofffice” pineapple dessert which was excellent. Thank you to our server who offered suggestions and delightful service.
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at L'Opera Drinks: Chopin mule, Pinot Grigio Main dishes: the risotto and the salmon Antipasto: ahi tuna antipasto, After dinner drinks: cappuccino Dessert: vanilla gelato, berry sorbet Price including tax and $35 tip: $200 Excellent food and drinks. Attentive and knowledgeable wait staff and hostesses. Great ambiance. Enjoyable live show with a talented singer and piano player rendering old jazz standards.
Delicious Italian food at a reasonable price along with top notch service made the experience truly delightful. I will definitely be back.
