Some of the best fried chicken -- nice and spicy! The hushpuppies are also great. The charbroiled pork is a winner, too. Love the fusion!!

The pho was decent but the dining room was closed and service was slow. 30 minutes standing in the parking lot for my order.

I ordered some chicken that came with hot sauce. Delicious. It's different than other fried chicken. I think it's made for the hot sauce. I also ordered the pho with brisket and rare beef. It had more meat than any pho place I've been to. Kudos for that. Lastly I got the jambalaya. It was good but the highlight for me was the chicken and pho.

Old School fried chicken recipeIf you don't know... Now you know Mr. PresidentBest fried catfish since the 80's. Everything else is scrumptious, crunchy fried chicken & shrimp, hush pups, plus more. Get a slush to wash it all down. Enjoy

Can't really judge this place but the food was good. Service was a little off due to new owners inquiring restaurant during Covid.

Came for lunch around 12pm Sunday with no line. Ordering takes place from a window outside. We ordered the 8pc combo w/ large side as well as two spring rolls which took about 20 minutes to come out due to chicken being cooked to order. Mac - Has a strong pepper flavor. Shredded cheese used so it's not as heavy as the Mac in over fried chicken places. Spring rolls - ordered one of pork & beef, both with good flavor & pretty decent size & girth. The rice paper used seems to thicker than you'd expect so it ended up being very chewy Fried chicken - very surprised how good it was & the unquestionable star of the show. Our batch was cooked to order so each piece ended up really juicy. It also maintained its crispiness during the 10-min journey home. Just be careful when biting into it or else you'll be hit with the temp of 1000 suns Also shoutout to the hot sauce - hot & sour with a decent kick Never thought I'd see a Vietnamese-southern fusion restaurant. But in a weird year, this was definitely a good kind of weird. Based on the other reviews I'll be back again to try the vermicelli.

Ladies and gents.. this place is bomb. I have driven by a million times thinking "what the heck is that place?!" That was until I actually went. I was craving fried chicken and this place popped up on yelp. The chicken looked really good so I decided to give it a try. ITS SOOOO DELICIOUS. It reminded me of the fried chicken you get in Thailand that is out of this world and like .70 cents a leg. Theirs here is about $1.25 per leg and worth every freaking penny! I also go the fried jumbo shrimp. These are no joke. Perfect seasoning, and actually jumbo.. not those little shrimpy shrimp. The batter on both was so crunchy and flavorful. This spot is affordable and has an entire Vietnamese menu (pho, egg roll, vermicelli, garlic noodles, etc.) that I'm yet to try but now dying to if it's anything like their fried food. The guy who helped me at the counter was super friendly and helpful. Offered me an option of a ton of options for dips and was just overall really sweet. Please do yourself a favor and spot by. Support local small businesses, this one will keep you going back for more. I know I will!

Uhm.... WHAT... how did it take me this long to try this place out!! Granted. I was hesitant because I didn't think a place can do both fried chicken and Vietnamese.... BUT THE IMPOSSIBLE BECAME POSSIBLE with this spot. My best friend and I came here for lunch yesterday, she got the fried chicken and I got the rare flank pho. We were beyond satisfied.. and then I came back again today. Also, I should give credit to my friend Chris Laxamana who told me to go here and I said yeah right.... he was right and I should have listened sooner. Ps. The owners and staff are super nice and helpful what a bonus

The catfish batter needs a lil bit more crunch. The mac n cheese needs a different kind of real cheesy taste. Bland. Hush puppies are pretty good.

Jack of all trades, master of none. They have a wide range of food options here, but I wouldn't say they specialize in any one thing. Come here if you can't decide what to get. Parking: Street parking can be tough in the evening, but have no fear they have a private lot with plenty of parking. Service: I'm not sure how it was pre-covid, but when I went recently I walked up to a small window to tell the cashier my order. She was nice and patient. She answered all my questions about the expansive menu. Once your food is done, you pick it up at the same window. Food: The food was packed well for take out. The gumbo was a little bland for my taste. Won't order it again tbh. The pho was package nicely and actually tasted decent. Not the best pho I've had, but I have had a lot worse in many places. Good in a pinch if I didn't want to drive to Westminster. The fried chicken was lacking imo. The crust wasn't crispy and kind of bland. The real star is the grilled pork rice plate. It's so flavorful. Next time I will try the vermicelli plate. I was a little skeptical about the price, but the spring rolls were massive. I'll come here again for the vietnamese food, but will probably skip the fried chicken.

LAK has been available on Door Dash for delivery during the pandemic and is always one of the best spots in Long Beach for takeout. This place is truly a not so hidden gem as it stands on the corner of 7th and Junipero. When driving by, it could pass as your average fast food burger or fried chicken joint but it's so much more than that. I encourage anyone who likes Vietnamese food and/or fried chicken to give this place a try. I usually order the chicken & egg rolls vermicelli plate which comes with a hefty portion of chicken, noodles and fresh sides such as pickled carrots, cucumbers and some lettuce. This last time I tried the chicken, shrimp & egg roll garlic butter rice plate and this is now my go to. The rice was cooked perfectly and went well with the sauce drippings from the chicken. It also came with a cup of their homemade pho broth so you're getting the best of both rice and soup worlds with this entree! The whole plate complete with the cup of soup won't set you back more than $12.95 and gave me two full filling meals. My partner always orders a Vietnamese entree and adds on two pieces of their fried chicken a la carte because he just can't pass up quality fried chicken. The Thai tea is always strong, good and a big size--I was able to refrigerate half to eat with my plate of leftovers for the lunch the next day. On top of the food being fresh, good and affordable--all of the staff or owners I've encountered are super friendly and treated me as if I was a consistent regular, asking how I'm doing and always thanking me for coming. Next time you're exhausting your options of what to do for takeout or delivery and are thinking about all of the pizza, burger, "New American" restaurants that you've grown tired of--bookmark and remember LAK and prepare to be wow'ed!

The cashier is very kind. He actually spoke with me and asked me how my day was, encouraged me to stay positive and keep going as times are difficult for many as we left the stressful year of 2020. I just got side order of the cajun fries and fried okra. Both regular instead of large. Very good and this establishment has lots of hospitality to local Long Beach customers. Great customer service and I can't wait to support again. They have a combination of Asian based noodle dishes and also chicken combos. Great variety
