Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que

I'm only giving 3 stars because we had wonderful company with us.
First off, when I checked their menu on line before leaving I knew exactly what I wanted. Turns out they don't offer that any more and if I still wanted it, it would have to be ordered a la carte. They should have honored what they advertise.
Second, beef ribs are not supposed to be CRUNCHY.
AND finally and more importantly, you can ask any butcher in the world how many ribs come in a full rack of beef ribs...the answer is SEVEN....NOT SIX. They are ripping you off. I will NOT ever return to Lucille's and I will NEVER recommend Lucille's to anyone.

The good was OK, but the ribs weren't the best for it was hard to removed the meat from the bone! Also, the brisket was extremely fat.
The young lady today Sunday 11, 2025, at the pick up window was extremely helpful and friendly! She is extremely lovely and informative.

Never JUDGE or TREAT a book by its COVER!!!

(This is the last time but, I’m hoping the Long Beach location will be better.) As I’m waiting for my table, and the “Hostess” is just standing there, I look directly at her and said “Hello, how are you?” She replied by shrugging her shoulders. So as others are entering the restaurant, the “Hostess” was not welcoming. With an attitude, she would immediately ask others, “how many”? As I sat close to the entry, she did the same thing over and over very rudely with other customers. ARE YOU SERIOUS???

The career field I have, we’ve been told to “always be observant”. As I’m watching the waiters/waitress at each table, they’re all being treated differently. I’m noticing certain customers at a table being treated better and receiving more attention than others. What’s amazing is a waiter told an employee “I thought I would be given more than this”.

As a friend and I are waiting patiently for our waiter passing back and forth our table. He finally comes but really doesn’t bother to check back with us. What a disappointment!!

I’ve always believed in tipping anywhere from 75% to 100% of the “Subtotal” of my check because I believe in Respect!!

So once again, PLEASE never JUDGE or TREAT a book by its COVER.

They have the absolute juiciest pulled pork I've ever had!

Loved the food and service. I can't get enough of those biscuits! I had the gumbo and my son had the tri tip dip sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. He really enjoyed his food. We shared a snicker ice cream slice. So good! A must. This has always been my favorite Lucille location.

Why is it this lucille's always have a problem with burnt ends. They never say hey what can we do to fix it. What you get chunks of meat with BBQ sauce not burnt and rubbery 🤮 🤮compared to what you think you are you getting SMH. For the price of the three meat combo

I have my favorite BBQ and while this isn't it, Lucille's is easily the next best thing. The ribs are sometimes tender sometimes not. When tender *chef's kiss.they have dim lights and it make me happy. Bright lights suck. I won't order anything other than their ribs. It's the only thing that matters to me.

Bad service

Five out of ten? I wasn't thrilled with the service, and the food wasn't warm enough. It's a BBQ joint, the food should be piping hot!

Baby back ribs had so much artificial smoke flavoring ? added to it that it was pink inside and made me queasy.
I was very dissapointed. Waitress was execeptual but stretched too thin. No followup service.

The smoke additive in the baby back ribs made me nauseous. The meat was bright pink. Ewwwww

Got order to go @ window. This location doesn't take phone orders. ☹️Disappointed.
The young lady, Samantha took my order and was very pleasant and helpful. I appreciate good customer service. 💜
