Fabulous Experience with Alec as our attentive, adorable waiter. I believe that every restaurant has its best dishes. You have to find them. I was recommended to try Sunday Brunch by a Foodie friend. Wow ...We all had the BEST Irish Coffee I have had since the Buena Vista in San Francisco. It baffles me why they don't advertise it!!! Then we shared the Lemon Blueberry Pancakes....One again a huge winner! Finally we tried the Spicy Pizza...thin crust made n a great Pizza oven. If you haven't tried these foods there...you haven't had the Marlena experience... Thanks to Alec for a great fun time! Going back with more people soon! See you there...

For the previous ce and for the planning and paying ahead service should have been better.

Went for Valentine's pre-fix and was very disappointed in the food. The Squash Blossoms served on a bed of un-dressed arugula lacked flavor. Honey Squash Risotto was served barely warm, large portion but too sweet. The Prime steak was delicious but considering the price of $95.00, plus 22% automatic gratuity each didn't make for a worth wile dinner. I have been to Marlena's many times, this was my first disappointment. I will probably not do a pre-fix there again, not worth it.

Had an amazing experience just like always. This time we had the pastrami sandwich which was very delicious. Service was outstanding and will continue to come back.

This is a great local restaurant in Naples. The food is always extremely good. The wine list has very good wines at reasonable prices. I am downgrading the total numbers of stars in this case because this is the second time I've ordered the pork, ordered it medium, and it was somewhat dry and really not medium. Even though it's very tasty, it would be better if it were truly medium and not overcooked. This is always a very good two excellent dining experience, however. The staff is very courteous and pretty efficient.

You always have to ask the servers what something is on the menu -- nothing really "normal" can be found there. They seem to want to pick strange foods and make sure you know it is strange. Like a try-hard restaurant. Sometimes it is good and sometimes it really just isn't. I don't think anyone enjoyed their meal last night.

We loved everything about Marlena. The ambiance is intimate, the staff helpful, patient, and professional, and the food was excellent. We started with the sweet potato in a pistachio sauce that was out of this world, followed by the Tagliatelle Ragu & Black Cod. We shared and couldn't decide which we enjoyed more they were both so delicious. They do not have an extensive wine list, but all of those offered by the glass were thoughtfully selected and excellent. Such an memorable experience. We will definitely be back.

I was served hot ' gray ' hamachi spoiled raw fish ' which looked like it was prepared by a 5 year old with scissors. This is not crudo. Its food poisoning in the making. The atmosphere of the place was great but food is absolutely disgusting and can get you really sick. A beautiful restaurant that serves spoiled food. How sad. Highly recommend you hire a real chef if you want to call your self upscale. I do not recommend.

3 of us went to dinner on Wednesday night to Marlena. Two of us are gourmands. I had the BEST dorade stuffed with spinach, pine nut, golden raisins and breadcrumbs, topped with a caper butter sauce. It was superb. One of the BEST I've ever had and I've eaten in good restaurants around LA and in large European cities. Every time I eat at Marlena's I haven't been disappointed. Do yourself a favor, if in Long Beach, experience some of the best food you'll ever eat, with NO pretentiousness.

Food was mediocre. Waited about 35 minutes for entrees to be served. There was verbal acknowledgement of a birthday but no complimentary dessert. Even a small scoop of ice cream would have been appreciated to celebrate my elderly mother. We won't be back.

This is hands down the best restaurant in Long Beach. Everything is delicious and the ambience and service is perfection. Don't sleep on Marlena!

The quality of the food and the service is superb. However the ambience and seating, particularly for a part of two leaves a lot to be desired. Party of two are seated within a few feet of larger tables and might as well have to join that group. Very few tables for two, and the few they have are not great.

Food is always fresh, innovative & delicious. Jessica our server was attentive and friendly with great suggestions. The pizza is a must and the fresh pastas. Marlena is a great place to share and get the full food experience. Highly recommend!

Our experience from the moment we were greeted by the friendly hostess to the delivery of our food was an A+. Menu was exciting and fresh, service was outstanding in every aspect, food arrived in a timely manner. We just loved it and can't wait to go back.

I really wanted to enjoy this place. The ambience was amazing. But the Hamachi was flavorless. Pork meatballs were overly salted. Pappardelle was unavailable. Spanish octopus could have been more delicate, and the beans it came with were undercooked. The Cabernet was too sweet for my liking. And the chocolate olive oil cake wasn't divine, it wasn't decadent. $200+ down the drain for food we barely ate or enjoyed.
