Food is good but service is very inefficient. Lots of food and orders sitting on the counter ready to be bagged, but only one person running the food/bagging the food. One person just standing at the register, one person just making dressing, and one person making trays waiting for food to come from back of house. Staff should be trained to prioritize getting customers in and out. Shouldn’t take 35 minutes to get a sandwich and a salad.

Great sandwich, chimichurri steak and bacon. Wish there were some sides to go with though.

I love Mendocino Farms sandwiches and Salad. The ingredients are always nice & fresh , breads are awesome. They are always introducing new seasonal items in their menu. The place never disappoints.
This time we tried the Pink Apple Lady Salad which is their seasonal menu item and it was a homerun ! One of the best salads we've had.
Seating can get a bit challenging at this location with a lot of foot traffic but the food makes sure its all worth it.

My Wife and I love this place. I have had many sandwiches from them. All good. Their mustard slaps, no cap!

Got the “not so fried”. Was loaded with way too much mayo-
I’ve had it better other times, but this time was pretty bad

I love Mendo. I first found out about them when they had the ghost kitchen on Daisy in LB. So happy they opened a location you can go in and eat at. If I had a genie and they gave me 3 wishes, one of them would be that they kept the spicy Calabrian turkey focaccia forever and ever. It’s the best sandwich ever!!!! Everything I’ve had from the salads, wraps, sandwiches and sides have been delicious. The homemade guava lemonade is to die for and I’m excited to try all their other homemade beverages!

This salad and sandwich shop just recently opened nearby my work so I took a chance on it. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have any grand opening promotions, maybe the owners are hoping the restaurant can sell itself on word of mouth. They have tons of locations, so the strategy must work pretty well. The lady who welcomed us at the entrance was enthusiastic, which was a nice welcome.
Decor wise. It's relatively sparse. Also, I'm not sold on the idea of checking into a website for your recipt number as part of the dining experience. The tried and true table tag method doesn't need to be modernized imo.
I had the not so fried chicken sandwich, and my wife had the Peruvian steak sandwich. The entrees run small, and don't come with any sides. The sandwiches run around $14, but you can get a half sandwich + soup combo for $12.
The food is good, not great. I did like the crunchiness of the chicken sandwich, and the steak sandwich was nicely mildly spicy but ultimately mediocre.
My main disappointment is their lack of sodas. Neither Pepsi nor Coke. They have teas and other fruit juices on tap instead.
I'll try their salads in the next round, but there's great alternatives nearby for someone looking for a good sandwich.

I've been waitingggg for Mendo to open in LB bc the one that was in downtown looked trash. The ambiance at this location is amazing and the workers are super sweet and helpful. Their energy truly brightens my day and my meal. Shoutout to John and Lesley. Those 2 are phenomenal workers that go above and beyond to make the customers feel special and welcomed. Their work ethic will not go in vein, in Jesus name. This location is very blessed to have them. I'm so happy with Mendo's customer service and policies and I pray this location continues to succeed.

Always a pleasant experience at Mendocino farms and so happy they have this new location in LBX. I love their food as it’s always made well, tastes good, and service is top notch. Faves: steak sandwich, chicken caprese, curried couscous…..
Caveat: new guy at the counter- I didn’t have my glasses so couldn’t read the menu- asked him if Thai mango salad is topped with almonds, and he consulted his “binder” catalog and saw that it wasn’t. Great! I mean, he did say it was almond dressing. I said OK, tossed. NBD. Not a fan of nuts topping my salad, you see. So great, I ordered it. We usually order their sandwiches. Guess what, it was generously topped with almonds. Good thing they didn’t toss it. They didn’t see the request on the ticket :/ grrrrrr.. Good thing I’m not allergic to nuts.
Lesson- Note to self: bring your glasses when you order and read the dang description yourself. *Smh*

Great to see Mendocino Farms finally open in Long Beach! I’m a regular and this new LBX location definitely checks the boxes! fresh food, great flavor, and the same Mendo feel I love. Service was a bit slow but totally understandable as the team is still getting trained. Food portions also not consistent, you can tell they’re really measuring every ounce or not, food overall looked and tasted fantastic. Excited to have this spot close by and wishing them lots of success!
