The tamales here are amazing! Have been ordering for years. They always have great service. I definitely have only ever ordered for takeout but for the most part the restaurant is clean.

I still think that they have the best Tamales around in the Long Beach area. The masa is moist and flavorful. But I noticed that the amount of meat in the tamales is less since the last time, I had to take one Star 🌟 off. I do understand that the cost of all goods, meat included has gone up. It's a way for the business to make a profit without increasing the price. But for me, I'd rather pay more to get the more the quality.
The place gets really busy, especially during the holidays. Customers are coming nonstop. I highly recommend placing your order ahead and in advance to get what you want or else they ran out.
The guy that works there is racist, everytime I come there and spend my money on tamales he always tell me he doesn’t have salsa but I see him give it to other race . I just recently ordered 20 tamales for Christmas for my family and he didn’t give me not one salsa , he told me he didn’t have any . When I got home I called the restaurant and a lady answered , she told me they have salsa smh. I’m very DISAPPOINTED
Seriously the best tamales, hands down. Especially the green, I normally am not a huge fan of green but it's soooo good here.

Tamales are consistently good. Never tried the menudo or pozole? Hopefully soon ?
Nehemiah's Restaurant is a hidden gem, especially if you're a fan of really good tamales. They also offer a variety of different dishes, I like coming here for their tamales ??. While the food is definitely worth the trip, I would recommend it more for takeout than dining in, as the space isn't well ventilated and there's no restroom available.

The tamales pass, I didn't like the champurrado, it's very watery and they say they only sell tamales ?. In cleaning, 2 stars, the cashier was disheveled, she didn't have hygiene, the glass in the soda fridge was super dirty, that distracted me ?....bad customer service...now I just know that I wouldn't return.
Best tamales in town also at the home depot parking lot on cherry.

I read an article about this place a few years ago. Because I love tamales, and the article gave such great reviews, I decided to check them out. I wasn’t disappointed. The meat to masa ratio was perfect, (not too much masa and too little meat). The flavor of the masa was perfect. I usually prefer the red over green sauce, but the green sauce in these tamales left me wanting more, despite them being spicy. My daughter loves them too. I don’t think I’ll ever want to buy tamales from any other place.

I am not a local but we do come to town a lot on business. I definitely have to give credit to Google and the ppl who reviewed this place as well! Thank u for sharing this spot I felt like it was a secret. I was craving a tamal so we had to try them..and I'm so glad we did! They were so soft and flavorful..one of the best I've had in awhile! We will def be coming back next time we are in town. The whole menu looks amazing...I can't wait to try more! ( Also as a plus there is a man out front of the business who makes fresh squeezed orange juice ?)

It tastes okay - I don't necessarily agree with the hype, especially for $2.50/tamale.
