Great service with attentive staff looking after our group of 30, good food would visit again

I was at Nomads Asian place thirty minutes ago.
There was no one at the reception to greet or take the order.When I proceeded at another counter to order food, I was dealt with a very angry grouchy and ill mannered guy named Jacob . He was upset at being only two people at work and after taking my orders asked me not to argue about the poor service.
He eventually refused to serve the food to me.
Though I had ordered food .
I am not going to visit this place any more. . The people working here are rude and disrespectful.
Nomads need to hire more staff or raise the salary of poor workers who are working under extreme pressure.

The food is fantastic! I didn't know it was Halal. I'm going to invite my Muslim friends there for a weekend lunch. Great place to eat! 😃

Unassuming restaurant in a quiet corner of a pretty sparse mall; the kind of place that you'd walk past and not notice it. I'm sure glad to have found this place!

We came here during the lunch hours and they serve lunch specials 7 days a week!
While we were browsing the menu, one of the wait staff came over and checked on us if we were ready and asked if it was our first time there (yes). She recommended getting a couple of items from the lunch menu if we like to have a few dishes since the portions are pretty big and the lunch items get you the most bang out of your buck.

Very sound advice! The lunch menu featured a good selection of dishes and we ended getting the honey walnut shrimp, filet mignon with black pepper sauce and kung pao three flavor (beef, chicken, shrimp). Each dish came with a soup and either white/brown rice or upgrade to egg fried rice. We got the egg drop soup as well as the hot sour soup and they were both tasty! We upgraded the egg fried rice and wow... quite impressed with the egg fried rice here. I was expecting the usual plain, white, mild egg fried rice but what came out was a brown-ish looking egg fried rice that's just so tasty!

Of course the main dishes themselves were also outstanding! I really liked the juiciness and black pepper flavor of the filet mignon, the crispness of the walnut shrimp and the umami of the kung pao three flavor. I definitely would recommend each one of these dishes.

We also got the fresh pressed ginger ale, which is the perfect, refreshing thirst quencher!

Tasty food and great service.. what's not to like!

Save your money and don’t come here 😅. The water tastes straight up from the sink. The chili oil is bad. The iced green tea is not that great either. I ordered the salt and pepper seafood. These tasted like they did not batter them properly like still a bit floury on some pieces. Some pieces were fine and others had too much salt and pepper. Although it wasn’t that great I was working on finishing my plate until I found a hair in the sauce that comes with it 🥲. I mentioned it to the waitress but she didn’t seem to care and just brought a new sauce. I lost my appetite after that so 💁‍♀️. My husband and mother in law ordered the beef noodle soup. It was pretty much tasteless. The only good thing about the soup was that the beef was soft. Only pros: easy to find parking, can accommodate strollers if they do not have a full house. Cons: food tastes terrible, waiter can take a long time to take your order. They don’t stop often to stop by and see if there’s anything wrong. Women’s restroom does not have a diaper changing station. My stomach has already started hurting and I just left the restaurant 🙃.

I was really disappointed with my recent visit. We were charged an extra 15% for dining in, but the staff mistakenly rang our order in as to-go. When we brought it up, they were completely unhelpful and honestly pretty rude about the whole thing. It wasn’t our fault, but they made no effort to correct it or even apologize. The food itself was just okay—not nearly good enough to make up for the poor service. I’ve been here before and had better experiences, but after this, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

After our last visit 11 yrs ago the atmosphere was not the same, a bit dated. The Singapore Noodles and Mongolian beef taste is amazing. The Plaza is on it's last leg.???

All food is good but the hot and sour soup is the best!!!!! My boyfriend loved it too. ?

Wow, what a find! I've been looking for good Chinese food in the Long Beach area to no avail. Then I stumbled onto Normad in the Marketplace. And I was pleasantly surprised! Everything we ordered was delicious and large portions! Service was polite and informative. Even the pressed Ginger ale was delightful! Hurry over there and you won't be disappointed! I'm gonna tell all my friends! Can't wait to try something else!!

We had a really nice non greasy lunch here. The Singapore noodles and chili chicken with fried rice were just too good!!! With a coke the bill was $55. Oh we had a lunch special to go as well. A before and after.

Had a lovely family meal they have some great food but surely should try their sweet corn soup it's a must have.

Nice muslim friendly restaurant. Great fun to eat in with family. Sometimes the food is amazing, other times you order the same thing and it is good but feels like it might be missing something. Its never bad though. Highly recommend for chinese food :)
