I came for a matcha and the location was open at that time. The matcha was decent. Unfortunately, there were only few seating possibilities only in the sun and it was a very hot day. They did not let me sit inside as they were doing table setting :-) Always wanted to try dinner here but not that inviting. I guess they should clarify that they are only open for takeaway during the day.

- Food and drinks are good. Chef kisses to the Octopus.
- Service needs some refinement.

1. They need more vegetable options on the menu. Every dish we ate was more meat focused. Menu needs better balance.

2. For a refined establishment, their servers and runners need to learn to serve from the left. We sat at the chef’s counter with no one around us and the servers kept reaching in between us and as-well over our plates that had food on them. They did this during resetting, and service.

3. I asked the server if she could ask her manager question. She said she would ask but instead she sent the manager to me, for me to ask. So either she didn’t ask the manager or the manager knew what I was going to ask, but made me ask it anyway, just to decline me. I didn’t want to be interrupted by management for something I asked her. A friendly no from the server would’ve been better. Anything else wasn’t necessary.

It’s pretty but so, so boring and the lunch menu dishes are delicious but comically small and overpriced.

Solid lunch experience. The tostada was fresh delicious and new flavors that worked well together. Cheeseburger and fries were solid. Flat white delicious! The ambiance is very cute, Palm Springs motel vibe. The only hang up is that it is a little pricier than most lunch experiences in the area, but I feel like the price is justified with the quality of food and experience.

Lunch review. High quality food with attractive plating and good service. Creative, original choices on the menu. Lunch pricing very reasonable for the product quality. Refined casual ambiance, be aware it’s indoor but temperature will reflect whatever it is outside due to limited insulation and climate control.

If you've eaten at the Heritage then you know the food at Olive and Rose is fantastic. The pork chop was unlike anything I've tasted before, sweet and savory.

Great place to have a romantic meal or special treat. The staff were very warm and friendly, the atmosphere was great and the food was perfect. Highly recommend the apple tart for dessert!

I didn’t get a chance to photograph the bread, butter, muscles, halibut and endive salad. But everything we ordered was delicious. For the cocktail, I tried three different types and my favorite was the pretty and basic.

Such an amazing experience, I went two nights in a row! A reservation is definitely recommended, as this unique spot is small but the vibe is so lovely. Featuring such great farm to table ingredients and an experience, this was truly one of the best meals and wine selections I've ever had. Olive and Rose is definitely an amazing spot, highly suggested, and recommended! Staff work to learn your tastes and preferences, and we're so friendly and personal. It's not many that learn your name and wine preferences, offering what they remember the next night. Cannot wait to be back!

Great new spot in Long Beach! Major MCM vibes, super cute vibe. Got last minute reservation, sat at the bar and it was really fun to watch the cooks. The fries were insane - the steak too but these fries... michelin star style fries. Great place to support and promote new local restaurants! They also do bagels in the AM, I haven't had them yet but plan on stopping by soon.

Really great hidden gem. Came on a whim. During the week when my wife needed an aesthetically pleasing lunch venue to pick her spirits up. This place did the trick. Would highly recommend

The food was good, and the presentation was impeccable.

Now that back story....

I came on a Wednesday at 5:30pm. The restaurant had 1 table of two seated. It was literally empty.

They had to debate for 5 minutes if they could squeeze me in for a party of two, IN AN EMPTY RESTAURANT.

They decided it was my lucky day, and they would bless me and allow me the privilege of eating at the restaurant.

They immediately informed me that I had to vacate the restaurant by 7 pm. (Side note-the restaurant was not full at 7 pm when I left).

Upon being sat, I was informed that I could only order 1 time for the ENTIRE NIGHT. I had to decide my entire order and order everything in that 1 order. They made it very clear that ordering anything else at a later time would not be permitted...

They did actually pace our food properly, so that was great...

As it turned out, we ordered entirely too much food. I brought home my entire rib cap and fries...

I'm aware of the ownership of the restaurant and have also dined at Heritage...

As an avid foodie and someone who has literally eaten exceptional food in many parts of the world, and someone who has eaten at more Michelin starred restaurants than I could possibly count, I find the experience here absurd. The arrogance of the entire experience, the pomp and circumstance, is just too much....

I love great food and experiences, but I dont think I will ever visit either location under this ownership ever again...

Good luck to both of you, and congrats on the new baby, and i hope some day you have the blessing of obtaining even a small amount of humility...
