What a nice place with such a special atmosphere. Unfortunately I didn’t catch our server name, but he had the most relaxed and calm attitude which we really appreciated. The food was great, we especially enjoyed the cod. Would absolutely come back again!

French bistro in Long Beach. Beef tartare, endive salad, and steak frites are nice starters. Modern space and lovely atmosphere, this is a welcome addition to Long Beach.

Attempted to have a date with my lovely wife. Dropped her off and parked the car. O&R wouldn't seat her at our table but asked her to wait outside until "your party is complete". The two of us. Invited to move into the empty hard-surfaced dining room, we were greeted by "your table is only reserved for 90 minutes". After asking about specials we were told, "the kitchen requires you to complete all choices with your initial order". So much for gracious dining. At least the food was good: endive salad, black cod, pork shoulder. But the food missed spectacular, nothing like the duck breast at sister restaurant The Heritage, just good. And the wait staff kept pushing the $9 non-alcoholic drinks. At $70 dollars a plate - not including wine which would push costs into the $100 a plate range - not sure that this no-tablecloths, noisy restaurant, with an attitude is gonna make it.

We went to Olive and Rose when we heard it was a sister restaurant to the Michelin star, Heritage.

It housed in a recently renovated motel that has a retro vibe to it. I believe it replaces a diner that used to be there.

It has a different feel to Heritage which is to be expected as it's a different concept. The food is very flavorful and delicious. We had an assortment of foods such as the steak frites, pork shoulder, tartare, crudo, crude, and fish with mashed potatoes. All were excellent but I really enjoyed the pork shoulder and steak. Delicious!

They are still working to get their liquor license but I'm glad we were able to get I before it gets too busy. Go check it out and enjoy another great restaurant addition to Long Beach!

Wow! It was a pleasure to be eat here tonight. The overall dining experience was amazing. My favorite dish was the amberjack crudo with cucumber and grape. Very refreshing! All the other dishes were top notch as well.

The staff were attentive and friendly. The room was cozy with relaxing decor. I can’t wait to come back soon.
