Nice little dive restaurant that is very inexpensive. The food is prepared to order so if you are in a rush, don't bother coming. The food is outstanding in my opinion.

I specialize in the renovation of kitchens, but this is Grandmas country kitchen 2.0. Both a local market and an incredibly good southern inspired restaurant, be prepared to be warmed by the good spirit of true comfort food and energy of the old days... when food took time but every1 chatted away... It was my first time here, so I didn't get a chance to really experiment on food (chicken sausage, eggs, and pancakes), but it was pleasant. Good prices and a local spot you should not miss.

O'Nells is a great local place. Situated in a small corner, when you walk in, it feels like you're in your grandma's kitchen. Nell cooks everything to order, the portions are huge, the prices are reasonable, and she takes care of you like you're family. I've never experienced a place where the chef is talking to me from the kitchen while cooking - it's a great environment and it's quickly become a go-to restaurant for our family. (And, for anyone who's from Los Angeles and looking for a Black-owned spot in Long Beach that has a similar feel to Serving Spoon, but without the long line/wait, LOOK NO FURTHER!)

I came here since I was in the area. Soon as i walked in i said it smells like Louisiana in here. Baby they did not disappoint I got fish and grits and eggs w a salmon croquette on the side. Black owned and just like my momo house. 2 ladies in the kitchen and provided great service. I came all the way for orange county, will be back this place is definitely worth the drive.

Was curious so went with my family. Whoa!!! It's as if I was invited to someone's house for a meal. A very laid back atmosphere and the food does not disappoint whatsoever. The owner is so friendly and down to earth and the food is all homemade. We were told the recipes were passed down from her grandmother. I've had breakfast a few times. Another time I had lunch. For breakfast I had pork chops and eggs with a choice of a pancake. Excellent!! So darn yummy! I also tried the grits and boy oh boy they were yummy too! Another time I stopped in I had the O'nell burger and it was awesome! Everything is made with love. I can't quite put it any other way than how I said it earlier. It's almost like being invited over to eat to someone's house who can cook very well. This place deserves the recognition because I don't think there is anything like it in this state.

Visited on a late Saturday morning, a total of 6 customers (including myself) were inside. I had to cancel my order after waiting 75 minutes for it. The staff was friendly, however no one should have to wait over an hour for their food at a restaurant.

Great friendly service, cook came to the table to ask if I enjoyed the meal. We're from Mississippi, and were totally disappointed with the food. I ordered the fried chicken plate with mac n' cheese and greens. I felt the chicken was undercooked, still red when taking a bite. No flavor, needed more seasoning. I'll give them another try.
