My friend gets a nearby location to her house in Lakewood and it never disappoints. We had it for dinner last night for a girls nights so tonight I decided to order for me and my husband a location closer to us. The jalapeño cheese knots are soooo good i ordered 2. They came and did not look like what I have previously received nor what's advertised. Not bad but, a fold over of cheese was not as good as those sweet pillows of fluff stuffed with cheese and jalapeño I was hoping and wishin for.

Ordered two pizzas and wings last night. Pizzas were ok. Nothing bad but not great either. Pretty standard. But the "wings" were god awful. Looked and tasted like frozen grocery store wings someone had forgotten about. They were soggy, chewy and had barely a squirt of sauce. Not sure how they were even comfortable serving something so low quality. Definitely will NOT be ordering from here again

I called to place my order and I specifically told them I'd be paying with Groupon I gave Kyle a $100 bill to pay the difference while i was pulling up my Groupon and Kyle told me he already charged me full price and he can reverse it. Didn't even try to figure it out last time I bring money here.. it's better to drive a little further for quality service.

We really like Papa John's thin crust pizza. My husband and I have different pizza topping tastes, so we order 2 pies.1st time we ordered through an off site CS operator. I ordered a pepperoni with hf pineapple half olive. WE GOT HALF OLIVE & PINAPPLE HALF PEPPERONI.THE OLIVE PINAPPLE SIDE UNETABLE!WASTE OF MONEY.THE OTHER NIGHT I TRIED AGAIN.We wanted 2 med pizzas. There was a deal. The same lady was the CS operator. We asked for thin crust. She told us, it only comes in large. So I paid 10. Extra dollars to get more pizza than we wanted...JUST TO GET THIN CRUST! ( THE REG CRUST DOUGHY AND UN DONE IN THE MIDDLE)Got home... they got the toppi gs right, this time. BUT IT WASNT THIN!WE HATED THE UNDONE DOUGHY CRUST.Papa John's is a great value..... if they could just get the order right!!!!!I'm making my own pizza. Nice thin CRUSTNo out of country customer service!

Horrible customer service. We ordered for pick up, and had to wait an hour AT THE STORE after the pick up time on a Wednesday night. Once we got the pizza it was ice cold, so obviously I called to try and get a resolution. They demanded we drive back and return the ice cold pizza otherwise they wouldn’t do anything.

I ordered pick up through the app. It was ready in 15mins. The location had plenty of parking. Wings and pizza was hot and made just right. Love their garlic dip sauce too

The past few years, I have refused to spend even a penny at Papa John's. However, I somehow scored an offer code for a free Papadia with my next order. I wasn't sure if that meant I could get just the free Papadia without getting anything else, but I thought I'd give it a try. I made my order online for a Papadia, entered the offer code, and then I had to choose the Papadia again. Turns out I was supposed to enter the offer code first, so I removed the first Papadia before completing my purchase. This was one of a few reasons why I didn't like Papa John's online ordering platform. I would have wanted to schedule my pickup time between 30 minutes to an hour, but they can't actually do that. You can only order ASAP or at least an hour in advance. I never understood the logic behind that because I've never had this issue with any other restaurant I order online from. In any event, I chose to pick up an hour later since At Home just opened on the other side of the ginormous parking lot, and I wanted to see what came of the old K Mart. After walking around At Home and admiring everything they had inside, I walked back to Papa John's and told the staff member there that I was picking up my online order. After giving him my name, he couldn't find me in the system. I told him my name twice, and then he asked, "Karen?" Really? I had to show him my email receipt. Even after that, he still couldn't find me in the system, but he offered to make the Papadia anyways for me since I had the receipt, and I was at the right Papa John's. Which Papadia did I get? The Grilled Buffalo Chicken only because our local Community Manager (CM), Alex L, moved to Long Beach from Buffalo at about this time last year lol. The other Papadias looked pretty good as well, but I just had to choose the Buffalo for Alex L and a couple of other SoCal Yelp friends who originally came from Buffalo. When you order a Papadia, it comes with a dipping sauce, and the default choice for the Grilled Buffalo Chicken is ranch. One of my aforementioned Yelp friends told me that it is a cardinal sin to eat Buffalo wings with ranch, so what dipping sauce did I choose? Ranch of course! Sorry? lol but on the other hand, I thought choosing Buffalo sauce would have been overkill. However, I was wrong. The Papadia just didn't have nearly as much Buffalo flavor as say...its namesake + Wild Wings. I definitely didn't hate the Papadia; in fact, with ranch, it tasted a whole lot better. However, I'm definitely not spending $7 for another Papadia if the other choices are just as lacking in flavor. The Grilled Buffalo Chicken is supposed to come with a three cheese blend and onions. The three cheese blend was there, but I didn't remember tasting any onions at all. Even though the Papadia left much to be desired, it was enough for one meal, so I'm pretty thankful for the free dinner at least. I actually came here instead of the other Papa John's on Bellflower Blvd (by South Street). Why? The other Papa John's in Lakewood required a $2.99 minimum purchase, but this location by Stearns Street didn't. I suspect that might have played a part in my online order not showing up in their system when I arrived. The young lad behind the order counter just couldn't figure out why that was the case, but at least he remained professional during my visit. I was just annoyed I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for him to prepare my Papadia. Not what I needed after being on my feet the whole day, but at least I was able to chill at one of the three tables just outside the front door. Will I come back? Didn't I already say I refuse to spend a penny at Papa John's? Well if I can somehow score another offer code for a freebie, I'll consider a return visit, but depending on how things go during this current rough stretch I've been in, I may choose one of the two Papa John's locations on Long Beach Blvd instead. I just wanted some comfort food after a long day of work, a
