The playlist added to the cozy mood.
Excellent service, great food, and great drinks. I was really impressed with the French 75 that my wife got and a Bloody Mary that I got. Insanely good! This is easily my new favorite spot if I’m ever in the area for breakfast or brunch. Great value too.
I've seen the same staff since I moved to long Beach and every time I visit
Super expensive for stale, low-quality food. Pancakes seemed to be cooked a day before and just reheated in a microwave. Turkey bacon was $5 and was old and chewy. Bagel sandwich was $18. It came to table cold and not assembled. I had to take off cold, wet tomato from the bagel slices and put the cream cheese on, then put together the rest of the sandwich. They literally brought me the ingredients on a plate without preparing it in the kitchen. For $18, I would have at least expected the cream cheese to already be on the pieces, and I would have expected those pieces to be warm and toasted. The lox was fishy smelling. On top of that, they charge a 3% fee if youre using anything other than cash. Before tip, the check wound up being $30 per person, and the food was so old and stale that we didnt finish eating.
Thought this was a basic diner, but it is a great restaurant with a creative variety of items that are fresh and delicious. Staff are all friendly. Clean and pleasant atmosphere. A must visit.
The dine in experience is great. Unfortunately, I have to rate this restaurant a 1 star due to health safety concerns and poor customer experience.
Do not use their Order Online option. If you order for a scheduled time, it will NOT be accommodated.
Today I placed an order at 11am for pickup at 12:15pm. I arrived on time and was home in 5 minutes after. The food had been SITTING for over an hour and was ice cold. I reheated but it was inedible and I threw it away.
When I spoke with the restaurant to request a refund, they were NOT able to.
This place is old school delicious! Great service.
Locals diner, friendly staff, fast service (Monday noonish) ..
We sat outside in the patio area with our dog. I love that they are pet friendly!! We had pancakes which were fluffy and buttery and not dry, eggs & bacon. Also, French toast with loaded hashbrowns . Our waiter was really nice our order came out really fast, I was happy about that because they were extremely busy.
Great service and food

Excellent food and even better service 5 + Starr
They wouldn’t accept their own gift card. Manager could have made some kind of deal but didn’t. He said after COVID we don’t take them. Restaurant was good but policy sucks. And I’m out 25.00 dollars.
Sunday brunch was wonderful.
Service was great. Got there early enough there was no wait.
Avocado toast was yummy, and the service was wonderful... From the cheery welcome, to the waitress greeting and smiling at us, to keeping coffee and water filled. Food was out quickly too.
Perfect breakfast option with great food and service.
Today was the straw that broke the camels back.
I've been a pretty regular customer since the late 80's.. So much so, that the servers recognize me and some even remember my name. I often bring others for breakfast or lunch. Over the years, I've seen the restaurant go through numerous changes. Some good, some not so good (mostly after new ownership) like the unfortunate price hikes and degredation in quality and consistency. Needless to say, I've experienced issues with incorrect food items being served and or lags in service which can hapen anywhere from time to time. Unfortunately today was a bit different.
Today I was seated, the server was friendly as usual, coffee arrived in a timely fashion. Minutes later, I placed my order.
1 Denver Omelet no bell peppers with home fried potatoes and wheat toast.
My food arrived in a timely fashion but once again, (of late) my order was incorrect or they were simply trying to fool me. Who knows? Perhaps it had something to do with the current egg shortage? You'd think they'd tell the customer.
I received what at first glance, appeared to be an omelet (with bell peppers although I ordered it without). Unfortunately, it was more like a scramble (not the type they usually make here) with what could certainly be seen as 1 egg. Nothing really holding any of it together. I mentioned it to my server who insisted it was an omelet and didn't offer any solution. I asked how many eggs they use in an omelet and he stated three. Clearly not three eggs. This sort of thing has happened on a few occasions recently and I usually just suck it up and move on. Today, no deal. Especially at over $20 bucks! I know I could've sent it back and had it done right but why? Especially since this has become a bit of a common theme.
I'm done. Especially with so many other places in the area serving the same type of food.
At these prices, you MUST be on point. These days, The Pantry is slipping.
I can't believe I'm saying this but, I will not be back.
The service was great as well as the food served with generous portions!
