Our new go to place. You walk in and immediately know this place is authentic. A little slice of Vietnam. Family-owned, grandpa was the one who served us our soups with a smile and also gave us some great tips on the best way to eat the Pho (black and red sauce on the side for dipping). Everyone who walked in seemed like family to the owners. Very good atmosphere.
In my 40 years of living in the long beach area, many pho places have come and gone. When I really want pho I would usually go to little Saigon to the source. Pho 881 is definitely in my opinion the best pho in long Beach. I used to go to pho hong phat/long before but it just isn't as good when it was pho hong long. After trying pho 881 for the first time today, I highly recommend this place if you don't want to drive to little Saigon. I ordered the pho dac...
ive come here with my girlfriend a couple times now and its some of the best pho i’ve had. i love that there’s an option to get a small or large bowl — normally i go for the large which is a pretty decent size but so is the small. i would say the price is good, 11 for a small and 14 for a large. the atmosphere is okay, quiet. would definitely keep coming back?!
