Pickle Banh Mi Co- Long Beach

Terrible!! This place skimped on pickle veggies by replacing it with chopped lettuce. If you charge an arm and a leg, at least have a real authentic pickle veggies.

Food was average. Banh Mi ordered was extra meat and there was hardly any meat and mostly fat. Regular banh mi must be small portion 😔 Spring rolls not very good, just ton of lettuce. Service was not friendly, kinda rude.

I’ve been here once before for the crispy pork belly banh mi. I liked it, but wasn’t a fan of that creamy sauce in it. I like my banh mi dry… no sauce or soggy bread (that’s my pet peeve). This time I tried the grilled pork banh mi, nem and banh bao and their Vietnamese milk coffee. A few things about other reviewers commenting- I agree the pickled veggies could be more pickled but this didn’t bother me. Also, the Vietnamese coffee isn’t the traditional kind but it’s because it’s a “milk tea”. This was fine with me- obviously more mild than Lee’s or Da Vien so if you’re looking for that crack feeling you should get it there LOL.

You get a lot of bang for your buck here. The banh mi is made fresh and it shows. It’s perfect. I feel like all their food/ingredients taste fresh… which is refreshing compared to other places. I also appreciate their variety of food and drinks. You can get your Vietnamese food fix without having to go to a hole in the wall or restaurant- it’s quick easy and delish! The area specifically, I didn’t find any problems with it. Some mentioned it being in a not so nice area… my only complaint would be that I wish it had a drive thru… for convenience. I’ll definitely be back! It won’t be my last time here. Next on my list is to try their banh mi Dac biet and maybe another dish- and their pineapple drink!

Great coffee and lunch spot, way better than the other spot that is always annoying always want to force you to buy multiple cronut, but pickle banh mi, is great spot to eat at and always keep it real with the customers. Best Iced Coffee and Pork Belly spring rolls in Long Beach.

Amazing food and great friendly staff a must try

This is my favorite spot to satisfy my cravings especially on the go!

My favorite things to order: banh mi’s (grilled pork and pork belly) , nem neung rolls with the egg roll inside, signature milk tea with chia seeds, egg rolls, and just plain baguettes. The bread is so fresh and perfectly toasted and the flavors of everything are so on point.

Plus the lady at the front is so welcoming and kind. I love her energy and she always answers my to-go call in orders so I can get in and out of there quickly or send my husband in ?

They just won top 10 on yelp and it’s well deserved, I will definitely recommend this spot to anyone who is craving a bomb ? banh mi!

I was very surprised how big there sandwiches are and how delicious they taste. There very affordable and didn't disappoint. The staff were super polite. I really liked the Pork Belly sandwich.

My niece and I got the stomach flu after eating here on 9/13/24. We both ordered a banh mi and steamed buns. I had a combo sandwich with well-done eggs and extra pate, while my niece had the grilled chicken sandwich. We hadn’t eaten all day and decided to grab some sandwiches for lunch, eating half for lunch and the rest for dinner.

By 2 a.m. the next morning, we were both sick with severe diarrhea—something I’ve never experienced before—and stayed ill for a week. My niece had it even worse, experiencing vomiting as well. I reached out to the owner, My, who was empathetic and offered a refund, but since we ordered through DoorDash, that wasn’t an option. She did offer to comp our next order, but there’s no way we’d eat here again after this experience.

It’s now been over a month, and My was supposed to follow up about who handled the food, but since we managed our health issues ourselves and stayed quiet, we didn’t hear anything back. Just sharing this in case anyone else got sick around 9/13/24.

Food and services is always great. The sandwich size is big enough to share with two people. The sandwich was tasteful.

Overall, I’d give it a solid 5 stars. The space is a bit small, but hopefully, they’ll expand soon. The food was amazing, especially the Banh Mi Thit Nướng. My fiancé even said it’s better than some larger, well-known chains (I won’t name any names). Coming from her, that’s a bold statement!
