It’s a very cute and small little vegan restaurant. The taco plate is small but filling. The beans were also amazing, I highly recommend. I like that there are so many protein options as well for the tacos. I chose the mushrooms since the asada and carnitas have either a soy based protein or soy sauce. I also tried the horchata and churros with ice-cream and both were DELICIOUS. Overall the vibe is sort of a blend of modern Mexican minimalism with a dash of new age and oldies music. A little loud for my comfort level—I have sensory issues especially with noise—which might have been due to the high ceiling but I honestly think if you’re not autistic you’ll be fine. The staff were all welcoming, nice and treated the restaurant like a community space. They all made an effort to get to know the customers and they seemed like very lovely people. I arrived about 30 min before closing and they kept the kitchen open for me to have desert even after hours.
Only downside is the parking situation. Very tiny driveway, with minimal spaces and some people were blocking the spaces when I got there (probably Uber Eats and door dash drivers). So you’ll probably have to park on the street. Other than that, the food was delicious and I really think I found a gem.

This restaurant was recommended to us ,so we tried it ,we all had the taco plate with horchata and the taste was on point,for plant-based this will give chicken a run for it's buck, the taco overall taste very good it had lots of Mexican flavors ,spices and things made from scratch, I highly recommend this place, its worth every penny,,we'll be back to try other dishes 👌🏽👌🏽.ps that chipsnguac, is dope.

I had a fantastic dining experience here at Plantitas Kitchen. I've been wanting to visit for a while now and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. In fact they exceeded expectations. Let me start by saying that I'm not vegan in the slightest and the meat was not missed. The food is filling, comforting, and absolutely delicious!!! EVERYTHING I had was tasty. I recommend the corn ribs and carnitas tacos. The service was great, they were welcoming and warm without being overbearing. The ambience is artistic, casual, and eclectic! I will 100% visit again. Highly recommend.

Delicious all-vegan Mexican food. We were very impressed by the flavors in everything - there is attention to detail in everything including even the ‘simple’ things like rice and beans. Gluten-free options include asada and al pastor tacos, which are incredible.

Amazing! The best Mexican food I’ve ever had. We started with chips and guac and the chips were still warm, like they just made them. I had the vegan asada taco plate, which was amazingly flavored. Great atmosphere, super friendly and awesome people working there. This is definitely going to be a regular stop for me when I visit the Long Beach area.
