So sad! The food here is spectacular! Dined with them their final night open in this location .... food is to die for... too bad the city of long Beach can't get its act together and figure out how to.manage the retail center...

What a great find! Literally we had to change plans lasr minute since ballast point brewery is not dog patio friendly. From the start greeted with kindness and smiles, chips salsa and guacamole to start so so good. Oh and it was Happy hour! We ordered the octopus, at one point I swear they brought some chilaquile chips mmmmm, we ordered Carne asada enchiladas, salmon tacos a la plancha, the half chicken, fish tacos. All so so good. Drinks were great, beers nice and cold. You can even them to male a custom one like I did, I wanted a spicy margarita, they had a picosa, but I needed more spice and he nailed it! They're a Lil hidden but ots a hidden gem.

Nice place; good food. However, the servers will stand over you and watch as you pay/tip on the POS system, which makes the pay/tip process uncomfortable. That alone makes me NOT want to return here. Also, there are no paper towels in the bathroom; there are only air dryers, which are unhygienic.

Our family of four went out to dinner here and were super pleased with the service, but really it was the food that blew us away! I ordered the carnitas enchiladas. The salsa verde was fresh w a nice tang. The tortilla was thick and home made, and the filling was simple: huge chunks of pork with cheese. Yum!

They have Amorcito in Long Beach at LBX Hanger on Lakewood BLVD and Carson Street and Amor Y Tacos in Cerritos but have some shared and some unique menu items at each location. Until you have had 20+ ingredient Mole' Tots you have not lived folks. Just flat out amazing.

We stumbled upon this place last night while looking for a place to eat. The service was great and it was honestly one of the best meals out we've enjoyed here in a long time. We visit the area from Austin several times a year to see our mom and have grown a bit weary of the usual places. Mom enjoyed the fish tacos immensely. I had the short rib birria and the flavors were nothing short of amazing. The fresh made tortillas were the icing on the cake so to speak.

I’ve eaten here 3 times now and every time I do, it’s fantastic. I’ve had the fish tacos (cod was lightly breaded, flaky & cooked to perfection), their short rib birria (absolutely delicious, the rice and beans also great), as well as a bunch of their tacos. My go-to spot.

Small and cozy. Delicious, fresh guacamole and shrimp ceviche! Save the airfare and hassle of a trip to Mexico and just visit Playa Amor for a taste of authentic Mexico!
