Amazing drinks!!! I went about 5 times during the Christmas holiday set up. Definitely go early before the rush. You can chit chat with bartender and sip on your drinks. When busy, there is a huge line to order. Not the best. I was sipping in my drink while boyfriend waited in line. I was finished with one before he brought out our second round. Will say, this happens when they book the back or side for private party's. This place is a staple for us. We have gone back after holidays and will continue going.

We checked out this bar near our place and it's really cool. They have plenty of games to play and enough TVs to keep an eye on things. The bartender was cool and the fact that Tommy's is across the street made it even better to have food and enjoy their great cocktails. My girlfriend and I can't wait to come back and try one of the trucks that comes in to make food.

Nope! Nice try though. My cocktail was loaded with ice. Paid a premium and got a cup of ice with maybe one ounce of the entire concoction. So, the second time around, I asked for less ice. Bartender said, "I can't" and proceeded to pour me the same watered down libation. I won't waste my money here.

Wanted to play some pool with my partner on Sunday and found this place on Yelp! Came in and absolutely looooved all the holiday decorations. It really felt festive in here. We got the You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch & Feliz Guavidad. I liked both but looooved the Feliz Guavidad, it even comes with a souvenir Santa boot cup you get to keep! The guava flavor really came through but was tart as well as sweet. They have free pool to play and a ton of space! They have a main room, another room & an outside area. They've got TV's all over as well so you can watch the game from any point.

Was having a great time for the 2nd time then a kill joy names FRANK a "friend of the owner" felt the need to come into the 2nd room and turn the music off for the 3rd time when everyone was having a great time killed the whole vibe while he's a regular customer eating a burger and watchingthe game?? Why come into the room and kill everybody else's mood when you have everything you want control freak wierdo tryna run everything when you aint a business owner or even an employee? Stay in your lane. Made us end out night early. Frank is lame :( 10 plus people left after he did that including us.

Port City Tavern seems like a place for the truly committed alcoholic. There’s no food, and the several times I’ve been here the patrons around me have gotten absolutely hammered, belligerent and sloppy. But if you want to hang around *committed*, obnoxious, drunken “stolen election” Trumpists in LB, this seems like the place to be. Mainstream Americans and 75% of the residents of Long Beach need not apply.I’ll leave Port City to its motley crew of trashy regulars, and won’t be back.The bartenders are all pleasant, though, and their clientele isn’t their fault. 5 stars to them.

This is my neighborhood bar. I could literally walk here. So I come quite often. Happy Hour is pretty good. Unfortunately, they don't have a kitchen onsite but you can bring your own food or order and have it delivered; which is pretty cool.They also have free pool tables and a juke box for your listening pleasure.My only gripe is there is one bar tender (shorter guy, with longer brown/black hair, and mustache) who has a bad attitude which can ruin your mood. Especially since he is providing a service and customer service is important. I usually don't stay long when he is working.

In a world filled with Port City Taverns, be an Iguana Kelly. It might be better taken care of now, but I never minded the dirty bathrooms when the bartenders were pouring heavy.

I am a sucker for anything holiday themed. Especially if it's patriotic!! Or Christmas. ;-) I've only ever been here twice and I enjoyed it both times. December 2021 and July 2023. My friend saw an article about their festive cocktails in adorable Christmas glasses. I just had to go!! (My birthday is also in December so we went during my birthday weekend). Then last week I saw a beautiful red, white and blue slushie advertised on Instagram and I REALLY had to have that!! *heart eyes* My husband and I went the day before the 4th. He got cans of Pabst which was on special for only $3 bucks each! I got my patriotic slushie and another yummy drink that the bartender made for me (he said it was like a pineapple daiquiri). We chatted with him for a bit. Cool guy. Good bartender. They have a pretty good happy hour Monday-Friday from 4pm-6pm. I plan to make a mental note of this and not only visit every year and a half. Haha
