Love Portola! Been here many times. The staff are friendly, and it's one of the fewer coffee shops in the area that's not Starbucks. I would highly recommend the Ardi Ethiopian roast. It's such a good pour over. Light, sort of fruity. They also have good cold brews here!

Portals is a pretty average coffee stop. It's located in the Long Beach exchange hangar, so the vibe is definitely casual. With 10 other restaurants in there, it is always packed. Portola offers a wide selection of coffee beverages and pastries. After 3 pm on the weekdays they sell their pastries for 3 dollars if you buy a beverage. I stopped in for a drip coffee. Honestly the coffee was just average and nothing insanely special. I got the chocolate chip cookie, which was crispy, but again nothing special. Service is quick tho! Great place to get coffee if you are already there, wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I used to go to portola Costa Mesa often because it's close to my job. I just recently discovered the one in Long Beach. I love Portola if you like specialty high grade quality coffee this is a coffee shop you'll want to check out. Last time i got a lavender oat latte. It was a little on the sweet side for me. I do believe the syrup is house made though which is important for me. Today i got the rose cardamom latte and not only was it beautiful it is delicious. Perfect amount of spice and sweet. When i approached the two baristas were having a conversation i looked at the menu for a bit the one approached in a very polite professional manner and took my order and asked me about my plans for my day. The service here is always good. The pastry case is one of the more beautiful ones so organized, clean, well stocked, and all pastries labeled. Oh and yes there are vegan options. I love the vibe at LBX would highly recommend anyone spending some time in the center. Start early have a coffee at portola; take your doggy and enjoy the day.

I LOVE the coffee here at Portola. They have quality coffee here and have great flavors for their lattes. I had a lavender latte and it was a prefect balance of sweetness. I definitely recommend if you are in the area. The vibes at lbx are also a great

LOVE this place! I really like that. This place offers a lot of seasonal specials. The quality of the coffee at this place is really good in terms of "trendy-pricey" coffee shop expectations. The only downside of this place is that they close really early, so good luck trying to find coffee of this quality past 5 PM. Other than that find me here once a week!

Portola Coffee is simply first-rate. The quality of the coffee is superb - it never disappoints and always entails care in its selection and how it's crafted for your choice of drink. The barista fam is reliably friendly and skilled at the variety of brewing equipment to bestow any and all manner of delicious brew. The brewing equipment options alone are reason to check out Portola - see what technique resonates with your taste buds the most... though it will be tough to maintain a baseline coffee selection with all of the appealing varietals. Whether you keep is simple with an espresso or straight up/Americano, or indulge in a sweeter option like a latte or cappuccino (esp the delish seasonal options - yum!), I have always been pleased if not impressed. Personally, I tend to stick with coffee - usually Americano, but have dabbled with a few tea options that were wonderful (including the butterfly pea mil tea). Stop by, enjoy a brew and don't forget to take home some beans/tea for your own brewing enjoyment. Cheers!

Look no further for consistent quality coffee in Long Beach. Portola has become the new go-to-place. I recommend the Ethiopian Ardi pour over for that caffeinated kick but my girlfriend loves the Iced Rose and Cardamom Latte.

I love, love, love their rose cardamom latte. Feels like a warm hug on a brisk morning, and I crave it throughout each fall and winter.

My partner and I popped in here a few moments ago as we anxiously awaiting the opening of Morning Nights. I wasn't even in the mood for coffee, but this place looked so appealing I caved. I was not disappointed! The coffee is delicious and the service was quick and attentive. We will be back to try more of their coffee. What we ordered: - Rose and Cardamom latte ($6.5): Divine combination for a latte! Not too floral, not too sweet. Just the right balance of earthy spice and subtle floral. - Ardi Ethiopian ($5.25): Very well-balanced, silky roast with notes of strawberry and blackberry.

Really Great Coffee Place! I am a lover of ice coffee, and the Vanilla Iced Coffee from here was super great! The employees are so nice and very chill! Super recommend this place to those around the LBX area!! :)

I come here often to get an iced matcha tea latte with lavender and coconut syrup and it is my most favorite beverage to get to start up my day. The barista recommended this to me on my second visit and I've been getting it ever since. Only downside to the business is that it opens at 8 for a coffee shop so sometimes it does not fit my schedule to go before some of my classes.

I enjoy the coffee here. Sweet simplicity in every cup. Menu's limited, but quality's tasted in every cup. I'm plain and simple usually going for the lightly sweetened vanilla latte, but tried the honey cinnamon latte during my last trip. Not too shabby! Flavors are present and tasty without overpowering the flavor of coffee.
