Checked out Republic of Pie. The fresh roast coffee smelled amazing.
Might be nice for a short meet-up (I say short because of the stiff metal chairs) for coffee and pastry.
They also have breakfast and sandwiches.
Got a chocolate banana cream pie to go. It was good, though expensive (it is a large slice, granted).
The menu board doesn’t show prices so I had to ask and unfortunately had already selected a pie slice and I was too embarrassed to say no at that point.

Nice place, but no restrooms, and pies are way too expensive for their quality. Cappuccino was fine.

Just left this place Tuesday 9/3/24. Ordered a slice of warmed peach pie. Price was $11. This is not pie! Dense mushy crust. Cold glob of what looked like brown gravy. The worst part is it wasn't sweet at all, I had to double check to see if it was no sugar added. My wife and I took one bite got up and walked out. Whoever owns or is franchising this place (small Asian woman in the corner on your laptop) do better! Taste the pie before you sell it. That's called quality control.

No ceramic/glasses for drinks, when I asked the lady behind the counter said they used to but bc of Covid don’t anymore. They weren’t even there during Covid so I have no idea how that was a realistic explanation. Left and went to chapter 2 instead, delicious food and actual cups. Cappuccino out of paper is just gross.
Got the banana and espresso pie. The crusts were very bland. The banana was ok, but the taste of the crust took away the enjoyment of it.. The most irritating thing was the poor customer service. We walking and were the only people there. We ordered two slices of pie and it took over 15 minutes for them to bring it out. During this time there were 3 people just chatting away. The lady at the back table doing paper work was the owner, I assume, and some other guy and the person who took our order just stood there chatting away. The slices were way over priced for what you get flavor wise, and the wait time is totally unacceptable.

Really friendly staff. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and the Thanksgiving Turkey pie. Crust is excellent as it's the whole tin and not just the top. Was not pleased with the cubed meat in both. Cubed meat is a huge turnoff for me as it says to me, "Processed." Would prefer shredded style meat. The turkey had a smoked flavor which is also not my idea of Thanksgiving, but that could just be my thing as well. Carrots were really crunchy/undercooked, again, may be my preference. One and done for me. I really wanted to love them.

One of the best chicken pot pies I’ve ever had! It was my first time here and there was more than just pies. There were so many types pies. They also have sandwiches and salads and a lot of drink options. The chicken Caesar salad was really good and came with so much chicken. I tried their einspänner and matcha latte and they were pretty decent too. Highly recommend the chicken pot pie and banana cream pie.

Dog friendly, people friendly. Checked this place out yesterday. Tiny place; no public bathroom, but great selection of pies, coffees and other misc edibles. Their rhubarb and pecan were spot on. The Earl Grey was more subtle but could taste all of the components well (including the pistachio dusting on top which complimented the overall flavor).

Huge selection of food and drinks outside of pies. Espresso almond slice was A++, not too heavy and not too sweet. Turkey chili pot pie was amazing too. Can't wait to come back and try more

Republic of pie just opened in Long Beach and they are a great spot to grab a quick and casual lunch or dinner. Dishes are under $15 and They serve cafe style food from hot sandwiches, fresh salads, pot pies, and of course sweet dessert pies. My favorite items were their shareable $9 potato nachos. And their thanksgiving pot pie for $10.55. It’s actually so hearty and loaded with chunks of tender turkey with a flaky crust and I love the addition of sweetness from the cranberry. Sweet pies are a little pricey at $9 a slice but if you had to get one I recommend the blueberry peach. Get them warmed and enjoy!

I had the Chocolate Banana Cream pie and an Americano coffee. The pie, rich, creamy, excellent. The coffee was okay. It was too light for me. I prefer a dark roast. The service was friend and fest. The selection of pies is impressive.

This new location is great, Right on the corner. We ordered a variety of items from the homemade pies, thanksgiving pot pie, bbq chicken wrap and quesadilla for my kids. The Stumptown coffee was great for my macchiato it was really small though. I expected a bigger cup for the price. The service was great and love that everything was made fresh. Plenty of tables to sit. The music was great and the servers were attentive. We will be back soon.
