The atmosphere is mature, relaxed and familiar almost like you were relaxing at home or at a grandmothers house before a holiday dinner or summer lunch. It's pleasant to say the least. And it's not pretending to be something it isn't. It is comfortable in its own skin. And the food is a fresh reminder that all who wonder aren't lost, that different is needed and in many ways the progression and change we need in life ? my recommendations would honestly be anything on the menu but my "gotos" are any variety of "Pad see Ew" and "Pad Thai" the yellow curry as well every time I order these three without question.

Silverlake Ramen LBX right down the street gets 10 times the business for obvious reasons. - Been eating at STNB for 7 years periodically. - Just seems like year after year it’s not good as it use to be. - They’ve done everything from changing to smaller go containers to using cheap chop sticks all while raising prices every year - Menu is SOS as 7 years ago - Nothing new about it in a good way beyond not having to wait long because they rarely get a full house anymore in the first place - Same old women working the register looked a lot better 7 years ago lol - She likes to talk fast on the phone and walks like a 70 year old in the building every time in her little world ( slow ) and won’t be friendly if your not tipping - Very anti American hiring practices as well - In 7 years every one in the building working there is Asian blood Asian born. - ACLU won’t sue for it because there’s nothing there !!! - And lastly what ever the cheapest ingredient is in the meal is will be what you get most - Example: It’s a rice dish with meat seafood and vegetables. - 80% of the meal will be nothing but rice you could make just as good from home - Total tourism trap. - They suck !

I will say that I don't eat a lot of Thai food so I'm not sure how authentic or not these dishes are, but I did enjoy them! ST is in a little center with other shops and restaurants so it makes for a good spot to walk around after eating. We came on a Saturday for lunch and were seated right away. My favorite thing here is the Khao soi, it's a must!!! If we order individual entrees then that's what I get. This time we shared, which was nice so I got to try more dishes. We also got an order of pad Thai, pork with veggies, and the papaya salad. I enjoyed all of these dishes, I really liked the crispy pork with veggies. The papaya salad could have been spicier (next time I'll go up a heat level) and the pad Thai was pretty standard. They have the different spicy sauces you can put on your food for an added kick. We did order a Thai coffee, which was very sweet and had too much creamer/milk, probably better to just stick with a Thai tea. Overall a nice spot to eat!

Food has good taste even though the rest of my family thinks the flavors have changed a bit. The waitress brought our bill along with our food even though told her we where going to order something extra to go after our meal. The waitress also picked up my plate to take it away while I was eating which was extremely odd. We will not be returning due to the service we've experienced the past 3 times we've gone.

Best Thai I’ve had in Long Beach. Drunken Noodles are on point every time. Friendly staff and quick service.
