the food is great, but this review is for Cee because they deserve their flowers!! last week i was down BAD in need of a good steak, and my partner and i ended up at saint + second as a disappointed third choice because both of our usual spots were fully booked. i was hormonal, hangry, cranky, withering away with each passing second (okay, maybe i’m being dramatic), but when we sat down at saint + second and got Cee as a server, it GENUINELY changed my partner and i’s night for the better. it felt like we were hanging out with a dear old friend, who knew exactly what we liked and needed. all of their recommendations were great, they were attentive but not overbearing, and just truly made our dining experience extra-ordinary.

Food was a big disappointment. It looked good, but it didn’t taste at all.. halibut was very dry and NO flavor at all! . Superfood bowl no flavor/taste whatsoever. Steak sauce was very flavorful, but unfortunately couldn’t chew through that piece of meat.. Very disappointed.. Calamari was the only tasty food.

I went there Friday March 6th to the upstairs bar, I ordered a beer, and it was served, I told her my girlfriend was coming soon. When my girlfriend arrived I had finished my beer and she was ready to order a martini, both bartenders, a guy and a gal simply ignored us, the busboy came over to check on us, and we told him what we wanted, he went to each of the bartenders twice each !! No response, we went downstairs and got prompt, friendly service... So, I dont know, dont go to the upstairs bar ! I told the manager,and to be fair, he didn't charge me for the beer, but those bartenders upstairs are in the wrong business....

Told us 30-45 minutes, after an hour and 15 minutes we bailed. They wanted us to wait for a birthday party to end to get a table. If they had said from the jump that we had to wait for that specific table we wouldn't have wasted our time. Garbage.

Great food, great service! We came here for the burger and food over at Saint and Second. Made a reservation ahead of time and walked right in! Bar and place is clean, modern, and our waiter was top notch!
Definitely a good bar, when it's warmer out to get a drink and hang out on the top level!
Shrimp cocktail tasted very fishy and almost as if it was left in the fridge for a very long time. Martini was warm.

Came here today for brunch with my girls friends and this place did not disappoint.
1: They were able to seat me before my friends arrived which was nice and not expected.
2: I had the Huevos Rancheros which tasted great and were also presented really nicely. One of my friends has dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate. Another friend had the Tri-Tip Hash and loved it.
3: For dessert we shared the basque cheesecake with figs and also a panna cotta with pineapple and dragon fruit. Both amazing but the panna cotta was my all-time favorite. It was the perfect tropical flavor combo of the panna cotta with a bit of a coconut flavor, the fresh fruit and the passionfruit ice cream on top. If this sounds slightly interesting to you, you have to try it. It also looks beautiful and I now wish I had taken a photo.
4. Restaurant has nice ambiance inside and outside.
5. The staff was very friendly and we did not feel rushed.

The waiter tried folding it ??? and really inspected it. My partner mentioned it was one of the new IDs, the waiter ignored my partner. As he continued inspecting, my partner asked if everything was good and again the waiter ignored him.
The waiter left and had someone else come over to the table. This .. I’m assuming manager came over and gave us some B.S. that they seemed to have forgotten our drink order in the 2 minutes since the waiter stepped away………
We gave our order again and again they asked for our IDs and AGAIN inspected my partner’s ID intently
No apology, no explanation, we were more than cooperative but I would’ve preferred they have been AT LEAST straightforward.
Needless to say we did not stay and left immediately
We’re damn near 30! Yet they treated us like teenagers trying to buy alcohol ???
If you’re young or look young don’t come here, they cater to older clientele…

What always stands out when I go here is the service. The serving staff is very friendly, they often take the time to chat and tease, which makes me think they are well taken care of by the employer. Recently my server was C and they were great! This is my go-to date spot on 2nd Street (especially good for a first date 😉). Menu rotation can sometimes catch you with some meh options, portion size is small. But overall tasty and high quality. It's not where I'd go if I wanted to EAT, ya know? But chat and nibble? Heck yeah!

Had brunch at this place and getting a table outside was a treat. Nice ambiance and service was good. Mafe was really courteous, attentive and friendly. Ordered the Smoked Tri Tip Hash. Tasted good but was disappointed with the meat not being tender as I thought it should be. It was cut in small chunks but would have been better if served in thin slices instead. The Cheddar biscuits were great with the jam. Fair priced menu items. Would not order the Tri tip again though. 🫤
