Found a little izakaya that feels like stepping into Otaru — quiet, cozy, and the perfect place to enjoy beautifully crafted sushi. 🍣✨
🐟 Snow Hana
So delicious. It’s wrapped in a layer of sweet-tangy pickled radish and filled with fatty salmon, avocado, and fresh tuna. The sauce is refreshing and super appetizing. It genuinely melts softly in your mouth like snowflakes. 🤯
🍣 Salmon Blue Crab
A slice of fresh black truffle sits on top of the blue crab, blending its aroma with the sweetness of the crab meat. Paired with the smooth salmon, it literally bursts with flavor in one bite. 🙌
🐚 Uni Scallop
The scallop melts instantly with a natural sweetness. It’s topped with uni, fish roe, and a bit of scallion lightly marinated with fresh wasabi. There’s a slice of lemon underneath that adds a gentle citrus brightness along with a hint of shiso. The seasoning is perfect and really highlights the soft sweetness of the scallop. 🥹
🦀 Snow Crab Bites
Loaded with crab meat on top. The bread has a crispy outside and a soft buttery inside — toasted in butter so the whole bite is filled with rich butter aroma and the natural sweetness of the crab. 😋

They have a Bogo special on sushi from 11-4., super worth it. Especially with all the construction at Cal state Long Beach and lack of food on campus. Good service and one of the best salmon rolls in LB.

Don’t ever place a phone order without quadruple checking the order, getting it written in stone by them and validating it with aerial smoke signals. The person answering the phone is as smart as a rock.

Thick-Cut Fresh Fish for a Satisfying Bite Sapporo Sushi, Unbeatable Value! Affordable Prices and Fresh Ingredients, Sapporo Sushi is a Top Choice for Japanese Cuisine
There’s a well-known Japanese restaurant in Long Beach that locals consider their go-to spot for authentic Japanese cuisine. Sapporo Sushi is famous for its beautiful and delicious sashimi and sushi platters, yet the prices are reasonable, allowing everyone to enjoy high-quality Japanese food without breaking the bank.
Sapporo Sushi’s signature dish is the sashimi platter. Several platter options are available, priced around $40–$50. While similar high-end sushi restaurants charge nearly $100 for a platter, the quality of the fish here is impeccable. From salmon to tuna, uni to scallops, all fish are freshly sourced and cut thick, making each bite extremely satisfying. A single platter is even enough to share among three people.
In addition to sashimi platters, sushi lovers shouldn’t miss the sushi platters. You can choose a chef’s specially curated set or order your favorite items individually. The fish used in the sushi is carefully selected by the chef daily to ensure the freshest, most delicious quality.
Beyond sashimi and sushi, the restaurant offers a wide variety of other dishes. Kids will love the Japanese-style stir-fried noodles, which can be made with chicken, beef, or seafood. There’s also curry pork cutlet rice and beef short rib sets, perfect for families to enjoy together.
Don’t forget the tasty appetizers! There are various fresh fish salads to choose from, and paired with their reasonably priced drinks, it’s perfect for a casual gathering with friends or a date.

If you're craving authentic Japanese food, look no further! This cozy spot has quickly become one of my favorite places to dine. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly service that makes you feel right at home.
The menu offers a great selection of dishes, from fresh sushi to flavorful ramen and traditional bento boxes. The sushi is always incredibly fresh, with the fish practically melting in your mouth. I highly recommend the sashimi – it’s the real deal. The ramen is another highlight, with a rich, savory broth that’s the perfect comfort food.
The staff is knowledgeable and happy to offer recommendations if you’re unsure what to try, and the service is quick without ever feeling rushed. The presentation of the dishes is always beautiful, making every meal feel special.
Another standout is their selection of sake and Japanese teas, which perfectly complement the meals. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you're getting, and the portions are generous.
Whether you’re a sushi connoisseur or someone looking to try something new, this place is a must-visit. I can't recommend it enough – definitely worth a visit!
