Nice view. Popular restaurant. They don't take reservations so the wait can be long.Some people were waiting more than an hout. Large parking lot but it's shared with other businesses. Service and food was average. No gluten free options.
Food was ok, salads were fine but a couple of us had to ask for more dressing. the onion rings were a bit over-fried and bland. I sat there for 2 hours and I never got a water refill.
EDIT: yes, it was just a water refill. My friend ordered the onion rings. it was a large group, maybe 13 of us. Service was fine otherwise.

We discovered this wonderful breakfast and lunch gem back in 1988. We live in Nor Cal and get to So Cal twice a year, and we have breakfast here usually 3-4 days/year. We love eating at restaurants by water and this place is by Alamitos Bay. There are yachts & boats in the harbor. Schooner is where I first discovered Chilequiles (with red sauce), and Huevos Rancheros. The staff are so friendly, some have worked here over 15 years! The food is delicious, and on warm summer...
