I ordered a spicy tonkotsu ramen and they gave me regular, not even chili oil on the side or anything. The pork tasted rotten, like actually gone bad. Overall, it was just not good.

We were forced to tip by our server, Yu…My boyfriend, sister, and I arrived at the restaurant at around 8:30 pm, and it relatively empty (Besides us there was one other couple there). Because it was late, we made sure to keep the table clean and stack up all the trash and plates. The food itself was good there weren’t many complaints there. An issue arose when it came to paying out bill. Our total came up to about $80 for 3 entrees and appetizers. It seemed pretty reasonable so we paid for the food but didn’t tip, only because we felt like we hadn’t required much of our server (we were in and out within the span of about 30 minutes). When we walked out of the restaurant my boyfriend had stopped in the parking lot to tie his shoe. That’s when our server Yu followed us out claiming that we did not pay our entire bill. When I asked for clarification she claimed that when you dine in there is a required service fee and that I did not pay that service fee in the form of a tip. She told me that I had paid the balance which only covered the food and not the service therefore it didn’t pay everything. I’ve been to this restaurant pretty much regularly and I’ve both tipped an not tip depending on the server and how busy it is, etc. Never have I been told that I HAD to tip. If there truly was a REQUIRED service fee I’d assume that would automatically be added to my total. After explaining that to her she was adamant that I had to tip. We went back and forth for a bit but I felt so humiliated already that I went ahead and tipped, so she could leave me alone. It pains me to say cause I actually liked this place, but I definitely won’t be back. I don’t like being humiliated and played for stupid.

I've been going to Shin before they became Shin. It was my go to sushi spot 10 years ago and so happy I got to experience it with my son who has been curious about this place. The restaurant is an establishment on its own with their own parking lot. It's not in a plaza shared with other businesses which I can appreciate because I don't come across many restaurants like this. There's plenty of seatings outdoor and indoor. Their restroom needs a little TLC. I love that they offer Happy Hour 3p-7p. My son and I ordered the cheese wontons which was completely different than what I was expecting which was the cream cheese wontons. These wontons were made with actual cheese and tempura. We ordered the 3 roll $35 combo and ordered crunchy, super cal and king of kings - we were pleased with all. We got the pleasure of being served by Tammy who I recognized from years ago. She offers great customer service, very accommodating.
I went here with my friend and let me tell you! I love Thai food that I've been blessed enough to try. This japanese Thai fusion place just was lovely. The server was super kind. I didn't catch her name unfortunately, but she was very patient and even though I ordered the wrong thing because I didn't notice.. They switched out the broth for me. I know it was probably due to it being similar enough and not being rush hour, but it was so nice of them. I would not expect anyone to correct my mistake, yet they did. I loved everything here. The service, the food, the style of the decor.The Tom Kha ramen was so delicious. I highly recommend if you like the Thai coconut milk based dishes. It complimented the Ramen noodles so well.The Ichiban roll was pretty yummy too. It was a first for me seeing eel and yellowtail put together (Maybe I just don't eat rolls enough). I got good vibes and good food at this place. Will go again!

Food:I ordered the dynasty roll and the salmon skin salad! It was an absolutely delicious pairing.The dynasty roll comes with salmon and avocado inside, topped with seared yellowtail, asparagus, green onions and bonito flakes.The salmon skin salad comes with a ponzu and sweet sesame sauce that has an addicting flavor! The salmon skin was so crunchy and refreshing to eat with the lettuce and pickled carrots. I like that this place is a mix between Japanese and Thai cuisine and I can't wait to try more dishes in the future.Service:The host and server was welcoming and attentive! I got take-out, but they made sure everything was packed well with utensils, napkins and condiments to ensure I didn't need anything else. Ambiance:Plenty of parking space. Very spacious inside and great for small and large groups!
