Simmzy's Restaurant Long Beach

I don’t get it when I read the other reviews (have I been going to a different restaurant???) I have been here several times to give it a shot and try different food options and…everything has been terrible. Just felt like it lacked any real flavor. All I could really taste was the oil that was dripping off of everything. Service was just as bland as the food. The only positive was the ambiance is fun, SoCal beach theme. That’s pretty much it. It’s not enough though for me to return. Plenty of other fun places with good food + drinks in Long Beach.

I enjoyed a delicious chicken walnut apple salad. The portion was sharable and filling, tasty!

I had to downgrade my 5-star review based on service. They consistently make us wait, and we often have to flag them down, to get our receipt. They tend to just drop the check and the payment machine on the table and consider the service ended even though I tell them every time that I need a printed physical receipt and it’s like pulling teeth to get it sometimes. Management needs to realize that the service doesn’t end with dropping the check on the table.

The blackened salmon sandwich was most excellent.

Vegetarian options: They have veggie burgers and other dishes can accommodate vegetarians.

Unfortunately I have to edit my review.
My son, my dog and I went in a few minutes ago and were ignored.
We had to ask if we can sit outside to which a guy came and gave us menus and told us to sit were we like.
We looked at the menu and made or decision on what we were going to order.
We waited and waited and no one came.
A couple came in after us with a dog and they happen to be white.
They got seated right away, got waters and their drink orders.
We were told that are waiter would be with us shortly.
After a total of 15 minutes the waiter came gave us waters and said he'd be back to take our drink orders.
The other couple was already ordering their meal within 5 minutes of being seated.
At that point I made a decision to leave and go eat at Rance across the street were we were seated and served drinks right away.
It's a shame because we did like this place and we will no longer be back.

Great restaurant- i forgot my leftover and the server- forgot his name black guy - ran across the street to give it back. So thankful. It was for my kids!

Lots of keto friendly options. Decent service. Separate checks for large groups. Favorite place for my group after Stand Up Paddleboard

There was a day and time when the Grilled Pork Panino (GPP) ruled the land. Since its passing all of Long Beach has been left wanting. Please bring back the GPP! ?

Fun beach bar feel with loads of craft beers. They have many beers they make themselves as well as other local brews. We did not order food however the food coming out looked great.

That billionaire burger was so delicious ??? I live in San Diego and was in the area for an appointment, need to stop by for some grub , best burger I have had in so cal , that aged cheese ?? you can really taste it .
