This place is tough. The food is never on time and rarely does the app sync with the actual reality inside the store. Sometimes it appears the food is ready on time but they don’t label it or they don’t put it out for the customer to retrieve it. It’s just sitting behind the counter. Today it happened with my oatmeal. Sat in an unlabeled bag behind the counter for more than 15 minutes. It was only after I asked about my order that it was discovered. And one more thing to note, the blueberries were an awful condition. I just tossed them. I didn’t even ask for replacement. Sometimes you just want to be done with it and you take the hit and you learn the lesson. Other Starbucks that are run more efficiently and place a high value customer service put your order out immediately /verbalize your name in a clear, loud, respectful manner, then face the food or the drink —label outward for the customer to grab. Items that have not been grabbed they will out call the customer’s name once more.

No tables to eat or drink at. sat down at a bench and was told it was closed because of disruption from homeless persons. Otherwise service was good.

At 520pm today, the attendant working here told me she was on her break and would be returning in 15 minutes. I told her I would wait. I've been here for almost 45 minutes now and she is nowhere to be found.

Disappointed. This morning 1/23/23 are 7:20am I arrived to pick up my online order. There was only 1 other customer in the store and she placing an order. There we're 3 employees 1 taking the customers order, 1 making coffee and I'm not sure what the 3rd was doing her back was to me. I stood where you normally pick up your order and had not been greeted or acknowledged by anyone yet. After about 45 to 60 seconds I decided I would get my order myself since I could see it sitting there. The employee closest to me who was making the drinks says "next time don't reach over and grab it yourself" I said thank you and left.The staff there is usually pleasant, helpful and greets the customers in a timely manner. The whole vibe was off with the staff there this morning. I'm in there 1 to 2 times a week and this is not the norm but I the attitude from the Barista was so harsh I felt something needed to be said.

During our daily walk we often go to Carson and Atlantic. Sometimes we stop at the CBTL there. But today we stopped on our homeward bound direction at the Starbucks at the corner of Atlantic and San Antonio. My partner wanted to use their restroom and get a cup of decaf. I wanted to use one of my expiring Starbucks rewards on a larger hot latte. But, when we saw the paper sign that said the bathroom was “For Starbuck’s Partners Only,” Tony asked the Barrista if that meant he could NOT use the restroom. The employee told Tony that he could NOT use the restroom as it was closed to customers. It’s funny that I had just joked to Tony before arriving, that there was very little chance of him being able to use the restroom there, because historically there was a 90% chance it would be occupied by homeless people using the restroom as their own private shower and sink laundry facility. Oh well, such is the bizarre climate of the country we live in now. We hurried along on our walk to use the public restroom in the park a few blocks east without purchasing anything from Starbucks and of course the park’s public toilet was grungy and poorly maintained but at least it was available for use. It will probably be a while before we want to revisit this Starbucks establishment.

The three star rating is based on the fact that online it says it closes at a certain time. I drive all the way over there and the worker says they’re close. It was more than an hour before the stated close time.
