Great place, but they need to properly staff at the slow-mo speed drinks are made here. Or, do some training on speed.

Cozy little spot. Nice to go reply to some emails and grab a quick coffee. Seating is kind of uncomfortable so I don’t see myself sitting here for too long to get actual work done. Coffee is ok. Nothing out of this world. Loved the big opened windows though, and all the natural lighting.

Steelhead is a very cute local Long Beach chain of coffee shops but none of the locations feel like a chain. They maintain their individuality while keeping a consistent menu so you can get exactly the drink you want anywhere you are in LBC.

I will say, this one specifically is our neighborhood Steelhead and the baristas here are so charming, they remember us and what we order even though we only come a couple times a week (wait that’s kind of often). They always ask how we are, chatting us up even while they are at the machines working away on busting out drinks for a room full of people.

The decor is super cute from the striped umbrellas to the tiled floors, and the cozy squeezed together tiny cafe tables make it the perfect place for eavesdropping and people watching. There’s always people working and studying inside and somehow, even with so little space, there is always a seat!

One of my favorite cafes, and Long Beach certainly has an overabundance.

We were excited to try Still House Coffee after recently moving to Long Beach. The shop is described as LGBTQ+ friendly, and as a queer couple, we were really looking forward to supporting a new local spot. Unfortunately, our experience today left us disappointed and frankly confused.

We walked in and weren’t acknowledged at all—not even a “we’ll be right with you.” The barista smiled briefly, but both staff members were deeply engaged in a personal conversation for several minutes, with one even exchanging contact info on her phone. The cashier never once looked up to greet us. We stood there for nearly 8 minutes, unsure if we were even supposed to wait, order, or just leave.

We never got to try the coffee, which is upsetting because we genuinely came in with excitement and intention. What was advertised as a welcoming space didn’t feel that way at all. I hope this feedback is received constructively because no one deserves to be made to feel invisible—especially in a space that claims inclusivity.

Visited Steelhead Coffee in Long Beach. Honestly, I didn’t love the coffee — it wasn’t strong or smooth like I’d hoped. But the ambience more than made up for it! The hanging plant arrangements and greenery everywhere give the place such a cool, laid-back vibe. I tried their spinach and feta danish and was really impressed — way better than anything you’d find at Starbucks or most cafes. Loved that they warmed it up in the oven instead of the microwave, so it stayed perfectly crisp. Definitely a great spot to hang out, even if I’d skip the coffee next time.

Coffee is top! Flat white came up perfect, just the way I love it. 🤌🔥

I’m just visiting from a neighboring beach city. Coffee had a nice flavor, I roast my own coffee when I’m at home so I can tell it freshly roasted. It was seriously overpriced and lukewarm at best and there was no cream which I had to ask for.Minimal number of pastries and no savory products at all so really only option was coffee. Staff was friendly, but very much a minimalistic coffee shop.

Drink coffee for it is life eternal. Without further ado let’s begin this cute reView.

Steelhead Coffee (est 2015) is a picturesque little coffee shop in Belmont shore Long Beach. They offer freshly brewed artisan coffee, espresso and tea to wake patrons up in the morning. In addition, there are pastries to indulge locals and visitors while sipping their coffee.

Its interior color scheme and layout were truly an eye catcher. Moreover, this coffee shop has plenty of natural light from its large windows. Their indoor seats are limited but they have additional front outdoor seats to compensate. I came and ordered an Iced Green Tea x light sucrose. And I must say it’s refreshing, and the best cold tea drink I had for years.

They sell bean bags, merch, mugs and tumblers for customers. Atmosphere was very relaxing. Staff were amiable and professional. Plenty of street parking. Overall, I recommend this cute coffee shop.

Great coffee and baristas. Awesome place to study or work.

Probably the best cappuccino I had in LA so far, even at specialty coffee shops here they tend to burn their espresso, make it too hot and bitter compared to UK or EU coffee.

This one was actually well done, not too hot and the beans weren’t burned. If you have to pay $6 for a coffee I recommend this one.
