We love sugar taco. Delicious vegan food in a picture worthy atmosphere. Service was speedy and simple, you can order from your table and servers will bring food out to you. My daughter and I are absolutely crushing this nachos right now. I really like what they do with their seitan here. The spices are just right. I'm blown away that such a hip looking place in downtown Long Beach can be so affordable too. You get a lot for your dollar here. The vegan dankness is strong with this one. A must for plant based yum in the city.

So many plant based protein options!! I got the carne asada burrito which was pretty great but I wish there was a little more variety in the filling. Followed up with a crispy potato taco which was amazing - so crispy and good. And then, since they were about to close, they gave us a free churro donut and it was so delicious! Excited to come back and try more plant proteins in taco form. Patio seating decor is so cute but they do have indoor seats too.
No signage for the "eco initiative" charge and they don't tell you about it. I get what they're trying to do, but at least let your patrons know with on of your colorful signs. Regardless, their cashiers/servers are helpful. They have no changing tables in their restrooms and only 1 high chair for the entire restaurant... the art and decore is cool. Their pollo is pretty bland. The fish burrito barely had any curtido... despite that, non vegans said their food was pretty good.

My very first time eating there, Sunday February 25th, had the taco plate with black beans, and let me just say the food was absolutely delicious ?, the cashier, she was very helpful and welcoming, once agin the food was sooooo delicious ?, I will be coming back again and again and again and again until I can’t take it anymore……love sugar taco ?

Yesss yessss yessss! So good! I've beeen a lil disappointed about veggie options in Long Beach and was craving some Mexican food, went on yelp and found Sugar Taco!! Can't believe I've never been here, it's taste bud heaven! Got three tacos with rice and beans for 12 dollars deal, one potato (crispy, crunchy, and my fav), one "carne asada" (it does the impossible: makes delicious vegan meat), and one "fish" (surprising flavor, but I liked it! Not crispy but more soft, so good!) rice and beans were great too and horchata... also comes in cute reusable bottle for largeTheb.. saving best for last............CHURRO DONUTS!! Like I've said in other reviews my mom ran a bakery for 30+ years, so I've grown up's around donuts.. but I sincerely think form the bottom of my heart this was one of the best donuts I have ever had. There was only two left so we came just in time! Helpful nice service and place is so nice flowers clean cute little lights.. perfect place!
Food slapping ?? great textures and flavors! The vegan substitutes are marinated so perfectly! The el pastor is great , the fish is great and asada is the best ! Burrito, tacos, rice and beans everything was fresh ! Add a margarita or mimosas (specialty flavors) ! Or an Agua Fresca ( different flavors daily ) ! Highly recommended! Good prices also
