I live across the street from over 6 years. Super mex on 1st street in Long Beach ca told me I couldn’t be hired due to my big boobs from a female manager with glasses light skinned dark hair. I then told her I hosted at big restaurant for 3 years for $18 an hour and she told me even due to me experience I wouldn’t get my regular pay and I would have to start at $16.50 with their minimum wage even tho I believe minimum is $20. I also don’t need tips and told them I don’t get tips and why would I start lower if I have experience with higher? And why are you body shaming me about my breasts that’s gidi for service she sounds like a hater
Still the best Mexican food in the l.b.c.

Great atmosphere. Cold beer and great margaritas. The chips and salsa are really good. As is all of their food.

Polite and friendly, shredded beef tostada in a flour bowl is my go to! 🙂
Paid $8 for 8oz of soup (and it wasn't a hearty soup chocked full of stuff), Supermex just isn't the value it use to be. I know this place is a local favorite, but over the years what you get for your money in terms of quality and quantity of food at Supermex has just gone down and down. This soup just re-affirms why I've pretty much switched over to Baja Sonora. That said, their salsa is totally solid--I have to give credit where credit is due.

Food was amazing I got the chicken bowl extra rice I was cruising with carnival and flew in a day earlier and this place was right next door to my hotel (Travelodge convention center ) and it was SO GOOD lol better than most food I had when we went to Cabo . Fresh hot and good people working there . Felt like I was home eating real chill .

The mini chimis are a great appetizer. It would be nice have a economy menu with inexpensive ingredients. Like Tortillas and beans.

A bit overpriced for what you get. Food was good and fresh but I felt it was a bit pricey. Maybe they are charging for the location. There's much better Mexican food in the Harbor Area and for less. I may come back and give it another try.
Good food. Gave two gluten-free options, but that was it.
