As someone who has lived in Sapporo Japan for a number of years and knows good sushi, this place is very solid. Especially for the price. Big shout out to Chris the sushi Chef. Very friendly and easy going. 10/10 would come back again. The lunch special is awesome

Favorite sushi place on 2nd street. Customer service is always top notch and the sushi is consistently incredible. It’s a local gem. Their updated menu is fun and with the times but I’ll always recommend to talk to the sushi chef and get their recommendations. Regardless of what you order, you can not go wrong here.

Sushi Ai is definitely a solid spot for sushi. The rainbow sushi is very flavorful and well prepared, with rice that’s just right—not hard and not overly sticky. I also tried the Spicy Tiger, which was okay, but leaned more on just being spicy rather than offering a balanced flavor, so that was a bit of a downside.
The customer service here is great, and the restaurant itself is very clean and welcoming. The only drawback is that there can be a hefty wait for your food to be prepared, and they don’t offer all-you-can-eat, though they do have weekday discounts which is a nice touch. Overall, a great place to enjoy fresh sushi if you don’t mind waiting a little.

Excellent quality fish and greatly prepared nigiris (great proportion of shari to fish, and well mounted), they have great Toro, Uni and probably the best Unagi that I have ever had. You can tell the sushi is good when the octopus is well prepared (soft and not chewy). Every time I come to LB I have to go... amongst the best sushis in America full stop.
